Why Hayward?

Wouldn't have been my choice, but I'm not totally against the pick. I have alot of questions about Hayward but there isn't another player who was available that I wouldn't have had questions as well. Short-term it won't help us but I do think Hayward in our system could be a really good SF in a couple years. Don't like the pick, but don't hate it either. Room temperature I suppose.

Who can Hayward defend?

What has been our problem the last 3+ years? Offense or defense?

Bumping Hayward threads will never get old, seriously.

I wish someone would have predicted Hayward shutting down Kobe as a joke- would have made for an extra special occasion months later, when this actually happened.

Other than Korver, Kapono, and Adam Morrison, who can Hayward guard in this league?

We were all wrong about Hayward. Now he's turned into one of the best players in that draft. Shows what fans know.

I think cases like this really just show that it's pointless to be too high or low on anyone right after they're drafted. Or if you are really high or low on a new draft pick, don't be too vocal about it or you'll risk looking foolish down the road.

Looking foolish is what we do, no?

I disagree. Be vocal about your opinions, have some balls and stick up for yourself. I generally don't like Thriller or his opinions, but I do respect him for always saying what he thinks no matter what everybody else thinks. Think for yourself bro.

1280 just brought up an excellent point. Jay Bilas just said, "he's not a good shooter, not a great athlete, and not a good defender."

Then why the hell did we draft this kid?

Dwill is checking out, I guarantee it. This kid does absolutely nothing to improve us. He's not a better shooter than CJ, Wesley, or Korver. He's not a better defender. And he'd be the worst athlete on this team other than Boom Bitches.

What the hell was KOC thinking? Hayward does NOTHING for this team.

Doesn't do anything for size, nothing for depth, nothing for shooting, nothing for defense, nothing.... Wow... Horrible...

Okay ... I can understand both sides of the argument about Hayward but why in the world are we giving any credibility to what Jay Bilas has to say?

Well, my original post came out sounding kind of weak. It's ok to be opinionated and vocal about it. My point was supposed to be that new draft picks are a work in progress and even if you have an opinion just keep in mind that they might surprise you their first couple of years.

check my sig.

And, holy ****, you should have seen him on the old board. If you weren't around then, well.... he was noticeably worse.
