I've made it clear to my kids that they are always welcome in my home. But I've also made it clear this is not always unconditionally. If they are grown and fall in hard times, or preparing for a mission, or going to school, then fine. If they just don't want to get a place of their own then they help with bills and/or pay rent as long as we have an understanding of a time limit. I've also made it clear they won't live in my basement into their 30's just cuz. If they refuse to behave respectfully then their welcome will have run out.

I've found the only jobs that drug tests are the ones that involve driving. Since I've moved on to office jobs the last few years I've never been tested or heard of anyone being tested. Most do have a clause they can test you if anything fishy happens though.

I think workplace accidents would be the most common trigger for this. Also regarding office jobs, I've never been tested other than as part of the hiring process.

Exactly my dad is in HR. They drug test people that operate machinery and they drug test people that do dumb crap in the office. I love hearing his stories.

One that comes to mind is a guy fell asleep standing up with his head leaning up against a cubicle. They thought he might just be leaning against it being weird or something but after like 5 minutes someone walked over and tried to shake him and he just fell over. He had also been showing up late and leaving early so they figured something was up. Turns out he had a huge pain pill addiction and was beyond high every single day.

They aren't really funny, more sad that someone ruins their families life because they are idiots.

First off, when is it again? Second off ... I hate poker. I do not have the attention span and end up going all in over and over until I get the sweet release of losing my money. That being said I'm not opposed to stopping by for a bit.

This Saturday. You don't have to play poker. The poker game should be ending about the time the Jazz game starts and we'll all turn our attention to the game.
