What's new

So why not Jeff Withey?

I don't know, maybe because some people decide to start a thread when there is already another thread with almost the exact same thread title and with the proper spelling already on the board and started the same day.

Give me a break. I hadn't been to the site for a day and didn't see that thread. After I posted, I saw it and was about to delete this thread, but Siro has to go and post and I couldn't see how to delete it after someone posts -- only the mods can do that. And look, it's still up here. I even posted in the other thread and said I was going to delete it. Not my fault and you can't fix a mistake in the title of the thread unless you're a mod. So, you're the second person, who posts a critical attack on someone making an honest mistake ... that's what I hate about Jazzfanz sometimes.

Again, a joke. If you can't take a razzing then don't post on a message board. I didn't mean anything personal, just giving you a hard time.

Withey looked pretty damned skilled and confident out there. Excited to see him play more.

Your only mistake is dignifying the comments with a response. Just dismiss the a holes and move on.

Obvious that withey would help us win now versus trey. Pretty clear that winning now is not the top priority. That would be player development and they see trey as a part of that program.

Withey has earned the right to play more. I always respected the Jazz commitment to playing hard, keeping quite and playing hard. Now Utah seems more committed to development. Seems they are forgetting some core beliefs. They should reward Withey's play with more time on the court. Withey is still young enough to be considered an acorn. Develop him now and let Lyles learn in the D league.

Lyles would develop better on the bench/in practice/in the D-League. Dude is flailing out there.

FREE WITHEY

So kind of funny the one game Lyles doesn't play we win. We probably give up 2-6 extra points when him and Booker share the floor together, we could have been 3-1 without him playing.

Lyles is too young/inexperienced to write his career off, but he's one of the more notably terrible players I've seen the Jazz play in real games. There is definitely a point where being throw in the fire just burns a person, not to mention the expense in real wins and losses for the team.
