What's new

Jazz Free Agency Summer of 2018

That's Jerebko money! :p

That new Houston owner does not seem as committed to spending as many first thought... I understood why he passed on Ariza, but this amount is doable... maybe they didn't have full bird rights, but seems like they could have used an exception if not. Luc wanted to be there it seemed.

There is no team that isn't going to have to make "arrangements" after paying Chris Paul what they did.

Houston determined to get Carmelo... that is just great... can we start a gofundme to pay for his moving costs?

Between that and watching what the Lakers are doing after getting LeBron, I am convinced that some of these front offices are watching stuff that I must not have access to. I'm not convinced that Boogie to the Warriors wasn't a tremendous blunder as well.

Talked to some OKC fans at SL (they were super cool). I told them I smiled every time Melo was in the game... I could tell they were not big fans of his and couldn't wait for him to be gone.

He kills teams on both sides of the ball and they have enough volume creators... makes no damn sense.

Rockets lost Ariza and Mbah a Moute. Their perimeter D and supporting 3s cast took a big step back.

Utah/Houston goes a full 7 games now imo.

Wait! They’re determined to sign Melo lmfao.

Jazz might of just moved into #2 in the west

Wtf is Houston doing?!

Hahahaha. Morons. Love it. Burn Rockets burn.

Houston is looking pretty thin right now.

Yeah, their depth is shot as well. Plus they have pissed off their 3rd best player in Capela with being cheap and not just giving him an offer. Plus Chris Paul is 33 years old and will be making 44 million a year when he is 37/38. I cant see him being good enough at that age for that contract. Stockton and Nash played that long but they had dropped off quite a lot by that age.

I mean, just imagine the Lakers picking up Ariza and Mbah A Moute instead of the clown posse that they signed. We really dodged some bullets here.

2019 they strike IMO. Maybe Towns and Leonard.

They had him one year so no bird rights I believe. Meaning they'd have to dip into their weirdly extremely valuable MLE, which by all reports is going to Melo?

I guess that makes some sense... I wonder if they new his shoulder needs surgery or something... Feels like giving melo half the MLE would cover his losses with the buyout that may be coming.

Sacramento cap space has been leveraged to successfully get guys paid for so many years... I’ll bet every agent has a picture of vlade in a heart frame on their desk... thanks Vlade!

And LeBron gets another year older. You don't grab LeBron to be the 7th seed in the conference. They screwed up by not trading for Pushoff P last year. Then they compounded it by what they did this year.
