The Return -- Celtics @ Jazz 11/9/2019 7:30 pm MST ESPN

Awesome win and well deserved. But let's not forget the best clutch point guard in the league was not facing us tonight due to a funeral.

No doubt this team will compete and make some serious noise in the playoffs, though.

Exum misses two shots and has a bad turnover, and he sits the rest of the half. Rubio has two turnovers and a missed 3 in three straight possessions and he plays most of the 2nd quarter.

* rest of the game!

I'm resigned to the fact Dante is done in Utah, Quin has just killed this kids confidence. Imagine who we might have if Quin was as patient with Dante as he has been with Rubio.

Just got back from the game. Incredible atmosphere in Vivant tonight! It felt like a playoff game. Great team win. Joe and Jae were obviously incredible but we also got great contributions from Donovan, Rudy, Favs, Rubio, and AB. Jae plays so hard and with so much heart, he's a Jazzman through and through. More than anything I'm just really glad we beat Haywood in his first game back in Utah.

Game takes:

*I can't do the Rubio v Exum treatment takes anymore, I'm just over it. Just supper sad for the kid at this point and hate seeing what Quin is doing to him.

* Joe was fire. Lost his concentration in the 3rd when he started joking around with Brown though. He also had multiple hard fouls on Benedict which I loved.

* Game was more physical than normal, refs let them play and generally didn't get to involved in the game.

* Crowder being undiscipline helped swing the momentum, he played great but I'm not a fan of that and the flopping. He has tendencies to put himself above the team at times.

* We lose this game without Favs. Those tip ins were crucial in maintaining that 4pt buffer and kept the Celtics jacking I'll advised 3s.

* Rudy was great in general but especially his close outs on Horford. The help defense was also as good as it's been all year. Niang made a great play when Rudy went to ground.

* DM did everything tonight.

And finally, Hayward was meh. Seemed like his best buddy Stevens did all he could to give Hayward the chance to have a big game and surprise surprise he couldn't deliver. Thought a crucial part of the game was when Stevens took out Morris for Hayward in the 4th? Really killed their momentum.

Also, was anyone there? It is didn't sound too bad on the broadcast, little underwhelming considering @Handlogten's Heros got me all jacked before the game. What were the chants like? The atmosphere?

His body language was so bad on the bench... but I kind of don't blame him.

Dante was bad. He was tentative and doesn’t act like he belongs. Dante needs to fix himself.
