2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

If Davis ain’t gonna play, we need to move both he and Bradley to dump salary next year then go sign Noah, Bogut, or Udoh. Next summer, use a bit of the MLE to sign Gasol. Let Conley and Gasol run PNR off the bench and grind them to death. Then just sign an energy guy that can defend the 3/4.

i like the idea of Bradley and Conley in the pick n roll though. bradley's actually got some good potential as a roll man with his catch and finishing touch

Interesting that no one has picked Green up yet ? Maybe there was more to it that the Jazz let him go , or teams just waiting to see who is bought out or cut ?

I still think Thad Young could be a possibility ... hasn’t had a good time of it at the Bulls ...

not sure if philly wants anyone other than Simmons as their starting point but conley'd work perfect in a backup point guard role if they can work out his salary, like what Hill's doing for the bucks.

The word is that Philly needs someone who can handle the ball and shoot to make things work with Simmons. They also are regretting the Horford contract. Conley fixes all of that. I have also decided that I want them to take Davis and also give us Thybulle AND Neto.

But I'm probably more interested in just rolling with Conley.

Horford is right on the boundary of being able to defend 4s. Past the boundary, if you ask me. The next couple of years will definitely be beyond the boundary. Therefore, wtf would the jazz want to pay ****loads for a backup C?

If we want to move Conley the best we can do is likely that philly or New York and the best we get is likely parts or Horford. Al’s deal may already be toxic... if it isn’t it will be soon.

Blake is dedder than Exum... roll with Mike unless something really great comes along.

Do we think our development team and Quin can turn around Saric?

I kind of think he has more than he’s showed and he’s been with some bad teams. I think he’s solid even if there isn’t a ton more to uncover. He would get Niangs minutes though and I’m not sure he’s a huge upgrade. If Niang goes cold then he’s an upgrade for sure... but Georges is on a heater and well above 40% from three.

At this point, I wouldn't mess with the team except to add a guy that can guard big PFs (i.e., AD & Giannis).
Our pg, sg, and sf rotation is stacked. Bradley is looking good enough to give us 6 minutes each half at C.
Here's hoping that Marvin Williams gets bought out and we can pick him up!

It's funny that Niang is essentially Steve Novak, who Quin didn't like.

It's just this. It's highly unlikely we move Conley and any upside to a deal for him likely has a pretty unsavory downside.

Mike isn't ded. I've been super hard on him and I expect a lot more from a vet of his stature on being able to fit into a team like ours. He looks like he has little to no confidence when he has played.

That said, I'd rather ride with him and think its more likely he's a plus player on an, at worst, one more year left deal. It is what it is.

Wut??? Niang is 10 times the handler and defender Novak ever was... especially the Novak that Q coached.

this is one of the weirdest takes I can remember from you.

This.
Let’s get him a pick-n-pop big to make things easier, eh?

Niang has more fundamentals, but both players have a floor effect where the biggest thing shining through is their three point shot. All else seems to be negated at the NBA level.

Horford's contract is about as attractive to teams as Kevin Love's. Not very.
