Will The Jazz Make Any Significant Trades?

Do The Jazz Make a Significant Trade?

I'm thinking more something completely off the radar rather than some of the players being mentioned already. Remember how Boston traded for Kyrie and nobody was connecting them to him at the time? Something like this... find out who the secretly available star is... and make a good offer that gets accepted before the sharks come and make you raise the offer. Garland kind of fits that box but his name got released in the rumor mill already... especially since Zanik already seems to have exceptional working relationship with the Cavs, if there is even a hint of him being available we should be exploring that possibility.
I like the way you dream.

I don’t think we make a significant trade before the season starts. But we’re positioned to be big time players at the deadline.

Expiring deals:
Clarkson (14.2M)
Olynyk (12.1M)
THT (11.1M)
Simone (3M)
Dunn (2.5M)
Jones (2.5M)
Luka (2.1M)

Young assets: Ochai, George, Sensabaugh, Hendricks
Clippers will fall apart again this season. We’re getting Kawhi at the deadline and ride his last few healthy months straight to our first championship.

One think that would be a high risk and potentially high reward move, is to use some of our picks to acquire picks from teams that have no insentive to tank. If we got the Brooklyn picks from Houston, would they be willing to trade Bridges to us? It does not make any sende now, but if we could give them back control of their own draft picks, being bad for a couple of years does not look too bad.

The other thing DA was known to have was his pursuit of Anthony Davis. He was their holy grail target, but it never materialized. I think Luka is his new holy grail target. I think we hope Kyrie stays in DAL, it crashes and burns, and Luka demands out.

I like the galaxy brain thinking but probably not. In your example, Houston would just want Bridges with those picks and I have heard 0 chatter which probably means that Brooklyn wouldn’t be interested because I cannot imagine Houston hasn’t inquired.

It's been on my mind since the opt ins. It would be some Danny A **** to pull that off. But Dame I think could be talked into the Jazz since we wouldn't have to gut our team.
