Don't doubt Dal's political faith.
Of course, "socialism" is just a societal construct invented by imaginative proponents of oligarchy based in ideological manipulations of the ignoramuses among us, presumed to be the majority by the elites who hope to rule the world personally through their lies.
Venezuela, North Korea, etc etc. "Successful" statist implementations of "socialism" in any of its variants all eventually come home to mama cartelism. Putin's Russia, Xi's China. Not especially competitive without willing cartelists' help from the globalist camp, willing to transplant American businesses into the pure Statist paradigm.
a lot of kids have been indoctrinated with socialist nonsense by college profs. Most will lose their faith within a few years, except the rich ones who don't have any immediate survival issues, like some JFC members. wink wink.
I think I know one who is willing to dodge the obvious implications of the practical reality with rhetorical denials like my commie buddy used to tell me about, in his passionate defenses of his belief that nature was built with a mechanism for progressively approaching the imagined utopia, as "utilitarian" failings in implementation. temporary failings, of course.
I never did convince him that property rights are inherently necessary for any human rights at all, because of all the utilitarian needs of society along the way essentially devolving into the special property rights of the managers/elites, who will forever run the show.
bottom line, if humans do not have inherent human rights, we will always be ruled by the remorseless thugs with the bigger clubs.
If people do not routinely run the thugs outta town, we got no good life.
