What's new

America is great and everything is NOT Pres. Trump's fault thread

Your claims are not backed up by the numbers. Analysts were saying that a Trump presidency would be bad for the economy. Upon his election the stock market tanked overnight. But by the next day there was a surging optimism that lifted the exchanges to record highs again and again. The other measures, including consumer confidence, soon followed. It would be interesting to experience the alternate universe where Hillary gets elected. I would be very surprised if we would be experiencing this hot economy.

Propose a fair, quantifiable scale, and I'll gladly back it up.

Trump and Congress have set up the .01-1%ers and basically ****ed everyone else. Wage growth won't even keep up with inflation. Meanwhile good luck with healthcare and cuts to Social Security, etc. The lion's share of Americans are swimming upstream. It's all a charade, ya dimwit. Not to mention the social chaos Trump hath wrought. And who gives a **** about the environment we leave for our children?
It's amazing how much we agree on.

This thread is a joke. You cite economic stats, but what has Trump done that you can attribute to improving the economy? There may be more jobs but are they high paying jobs or minimum wage jobs? We just had a huge tax cut that by far is more favorable to the upper echeleon of society than the middle class to poor. Our tax base as a result is able to provide less money to our crumbling infrastructure and support programs that help the majority of the people -- the rich don't need them because they've got plenty of money to pay for whatever they need. Trump is pushing for deregulation of environmental laws which down the road are going to cost us huge amounts of money and may even cause changes that are irreparable, something that is priceless like clean air and water. And Trump is by far the biggest douche bag, and I'm being kind in using that term, that has ever occupied the Oval Office. I'm sure the toilets in the White House are moaning every time he takes a seat ... OMG, what a disgusting human being.

Horse pucky. You're in Sibiu, Romania about to head up to Ceausescu's cabin for a middle of the night rally with the Romania For Trump contingent.

more drilling on federal land, which obama reduced. but you are right basically he done nothing more than get the government out of the way oir less involved

lots of ****. but you fail to see that. people like you seem to think the more government does and gets involved when irt comes to business and economy the better the economy gets.
but maybe just maybe the opposite is true!

Well, since Reagan business deregulation has fallen by the wayside and now we have all these monopolies and conglomerates that have formed. More and more control has been given to the corporations -- you think that's better, a system, an entity whose ethic is the bottomline? Oh, that's right corporations have the same rights as people. What a bunch of unconstitutional gibberish.

Look at what happened with the economic meltdown of 2008 -- that was because of the deregulation of Wall Street, and despite all the law-breaking, no one went to jail, because the Obama Administration wouldn't prosecute them. Look at what's happening with the environment. And Big Pharma is destroying our healthcare system because of the lack of regulation -- we're the only advanced nation in the world that doesn't regulate the price of pharmaceutical drugs. It's not people like me who think this. These are the facts of life in America today. If government doesn't regulate business, then capitalism will destroy our nation, and that's a fact not a theory.

why do some people fail to realize that some sources may mean the gospel to you. but others it is just good for nothing but wiping ones *** with!

it is pretty simple! cnn, wapo, nyt, wsj might mean the gospel to you!

but to me and half the population those sources are NOTHING!

SIMPLE AS THAT!

so even after reading that 10.000.000.000.000.0000 times people will not be influenced by that piece! only influence it can have in my live. is wasting inkt and paper, and gaining something to wipe my *** with

lol fact?

2008 was caused by the government telling the banks something.

look let's say you have lots of money.
2 white people come to me.
1 is a single parent with 5 children. who dropped out of highschool
and the other is a family man, is married has a wive with 2 kids. and has a small bussines

those 2 people come to me for a loan, you want in the end your loan to be paid back. we are not talking charity here! because we know which one can uses the charity! but business wise. which one is usally more likely to pay back the loan! not syaing the single mom 5 kids no education cant pay it back but it is LESS LIKELY.

ok, so banks/business(not charities) make risk assesment on how likely it is 1 person might pay back a loan. thye have different criteria. somehow clinton adminsitration thought it was racist, because 1 of criteria is stable family other was stable income and some where level of education. so clintons decide dthis was a racist thing to do. and forced the bank to give out more loans. so within this new law, ofcourse banks know they will lose ****. so they lobby for ridiculous things in the law. so they get some kind of protection. it is only normal

after all if i force you to lend money to everyone, you will want something in return so you dont risk losing your money.

ok so now lots of people got loans. so there is this thing socialist dont understand it is called supply and demand. now that more and more people could get loans. demand for houses went up! demand goes up prices go up. this demand is unnatural and caused by the governmetn so it is unsustainable. so now the housing prices are skyhigh,, people start defaulting on loans. that coupled with OTHER influences. caused the 2008 crash

FACT IS GOVERNMENT REGULATION CAUSED THAT CRASH. i know it's a bit complicated and technical for you to understand simple **** like risk management and supply and demand etc etc etc. but these are facts

Yeah, that pretty much summerizes the lowlights of this administration. Everything outlined is exactly the case, and the opposite of the fake reality promoted by the administration's propaganda organs. Washington Post journalists are among the best investigative journalists we have, although that was obviously an opinion piece. Unfortunetly, with the advent of the Post Truth universe, plenty of people are far more comfortable inhabiting their irrational alternate realities. Sadly, the president is content to promote his fake reality and help shape future generations, who will feel safe in their Fox News generated cocoons of conspiracy-saturated nonsense.

The U.S. economy hasn’t grown at a 3% yearly rate since 2005

The past 2 quarters under Donald Trump, the economy has grown by 4.2% and 3.5%

2018 is on track to be the most successful economic year in over a decade

So it's your opinion that the President of the U.S. is the God of the world economy?
