Big 3 are breaking up? Could we offer a Max to Mr. Bosh?

That's just dumb.

We are talking about 20+ million dollars max. He is absolutely not worth that.

I know that if he was the focal point if his own team that his numbers would increase, but his impact on the game is not worth that kind of money. No way in hell. If it were, then Lebron wouldn't be considering leaving, and the Heat would be 4 and 0 in the finals this last four years.

I called it from the beginning that Bosh was not a good pairing in the big 3. He just isn't that great of a player.

This.

I think Bosh has become so overrated he's sort of underrated. But in no freakin' lifetime should we pay this guy anything more than about 12-13M per. That said, I stand by my statement that he's sort of underrated. No way in hell does Hayward (totally different positions I know) hit many of the big three point shots Bosh did or has in the playoffs.

I don't think we're a championship team with Bosh but with a few more years of experience the Jazz are really close. They are however a guaranteed playoff team and in a year or two a 56-58+ Win team.

Once you get in the playoffs anything can happen.

you should go into at least 4 or 5 more threads and post more unbridled optimism.

This.

I think Bosh is a huge dorkus, but if he would come to the Jazz of course you give him the max. He's playing the role Miami has asked him too, but I think he could still be Raptors Bosh.

He won't be coming here, so we dont have to worry bout it anyways.

Except he's been quoted as saying he's not going to play inside anymore. Should I get the link?
Raptors' Bosh: maybe a MAX, although I never really liked him that much. Current Bosh? Not only no, but Hell No!

Let me guess DQ, you're one of those who doesn't like Bosh's skills.

I dunno why but something tells me DL is secretly going to offer Bosh the max. The question is can he, at 30, take on a larger role like he did in Toronto.

Only jazz fans think that Hayward is worth the max and that Bosh somehow isn't.

Wow

Im not even a big Bosh guy. But you line him up alongside Favors and you have one of the best front lines in the entire league.

I would rather get Love but I wouldn't pass on Bosh since it is so hard for the Jazz to get anyone in Free Agency.

Sad, the way you put that....but true.
Never liked Bosh really, BUT when you are 3rd out of a big 3. You are NOT going to look or act like you did when you were the 1st. The man is skilled and that people were defending and willing pay Hayward max and if those same people say Bosh is not worth it...smh...smh....
Do I want them to get him? meh, not so much..but he IS a max player in the NBA when you see the money some guys get..he just is..

Over generalize much?

I don't think Hayward is Max and I don't think Bosh is either.

In fact, probably nobody thinks both are. Name somebody who thinks both are.

Boom! Gotcha!

Bosh was the piece that gave that team a chance at cohesion. Wade and Lebron on the same team made no sense at all. Bosh is on a short list of players that can guard the post, be effective in help, run the floor, space it, and be unselfish enough to drastically change his game to enable all of the possessions that Wade and Lebron have to use, never demand shots/touches, and facilitate.

So of course his production went down. Of ****ing course it did.

The Max for Hayward does not= The max for Bosh. FWIW I am far from okay giving Hayward a max and probably would give Bosh a max. But don't pretend that they are exactly the same thing.

I didn't say that!

And of course I was generalizing.

It's just funny to see how some of the same folks on here call Hayward a max player while calling Bosh a piece... A role player... Not worth the max.

It's like, huh? Bosh has accomplished 10x more in his career than Hayward. It's just funny how much many on here (over)value Hayward. I get it, he's white and looks Mormon...

Does Bosh deserve the max? Probably not. He's the same type pony Boozer, gasol, Deron, west, etc were in their primes. Awesome players but just a step below the top handful of players.

But compared to Hayward? If I had to give 1 of them the max it's easily Bosh. If we're dead set about giving Hayward top money then I'd rather have us go aggressively after Bosh.

I don't totally disagree but Bosh has logged 31,733 NBA minutes in his career. Hayward's logged just 8,260. This wear and tear/age concept is a pretty huge factor when considering their deals.

Bosh for max? That'd be a great signing.. stretch four, championship experience, veteran leadership, height...
