Then the the suspension is the appropriate course of action.
Seems bizarre it's part of the honor code since I don't see how wearing earrings is some violation of one's honor.

So maybe Blackmon was having fun with the media with his Twitter remarks, and who knows what the story really is.
He is already being suspended I thinkIf it isn't they should suspended him for being a liar, which to most people does seem like a violation of one's honor.

I agree.
sure sucks though. As a byu fan I hate watching good players get suspended for things that they would not be suspended for elsewhere. (keep in mind that im a fan of byu basketball and football and not necessarily a fan of the school itself or the religion)
I dislike the honor code
Harvey unga had sex with his fiance that he had been with for like 5 years and was going into his senior season (holding all the career byu rushing records and possibly the best running back of all time at byu........ though i think its luke staley) and was suspended for the year...... he is married to that girl now so he basically lost his sr year of football, and the team lost a star, because he had sex with his wife.
Then there is the brandon davies story and he gets suspended for the conference tournament and ncaa tourney because he slept with a girlfriend.
As a fan, its frustrating
And this is happening in 21 century USA? Wow. I guess you guys can't complain then that homosexuals can be legally executed in some Arab countries. Same level of darkness.
lol, says citizen of the country where you can be suspended for having sex with fiance. Only ones looking like fools are Americans in this case.
so suspension because of the sex with fiance is not a fact? My apologies then.

The simple fact that you even compared it to executing people shows your blatantly horrible bias and ignorance ont he situation.
.
So expecting students at a church university to live a clean and virtuous life, which includes no sex before marriage, is the same as agreeing with the execution of homosexuals? On what planet? Certainly not mine.
Question: How well informed are some of these kids before they sign the scholarship? I suppose I speak mostly about the non-Mormon kids out of state. How many of those are there, actually, on the roster?
It was one school and a contract that a consenting adult entered into knowingly.
How many of those are there, actually, on the roster?
So somebody a breaks a contract that they willingly signed, and we have some sort of outrage or disgust about it?
Make some of the responsibility lies to the kid, yeah?
Is it a stupid rule? Yeah, I think so. However, this kid still signed the contract, thereby agreeing that he would follow it…I have no problem with him getting suspended. He did not have to go to BYU, he chose to go there, and he chose to break their rules. Pretty simple.
