Following potential 2013 draftees

Me too. He could (and I am hoping) go before 14.

That would fit the pattern. Bigs and 'potential' rise on draft day.

And as the old saying goes, if you're going to miss on a player, miss 'BIG'.

This draft could be insane for so many reasons.

Latest DX mock. I'll be pretty disappointed if we pass on Schroeder and Adetokunbo for Larkin.
.
McCollum 8
Bazz 9
Larkin 14
Schroeder 15
Adetokunbo 16
Franklin 21

UCLA's offense is agonizing to watch. No wonder Muhammad only had .8 assists per game. That has plenty room to go up in a good offense like Corbin's.

[video]The .20 cents increase in public transportation was merely the the straw that broke the camel's back.

One step fwd, two steps back

I was just reading this on Draft Express and thinking Wolters stacked up better than expected against other points. Schroeder seems to be overhyped.

I think this Schroeder vs Wolters thing has a lot to do with how you project each player in 5-6 years time.

Dennis Lindsey said it best in an interview last week.. we want to pick the Best Play Available over the course of His Career. And that's why the draft process is as much a science as it is art. How do you project the Paul George vs Hayward pairing?

It's not how good the players are now. It's how you project them to be in 5-6-7 years time when they're able to fully contribute and be the face of our franchise.

Mary Schmitt Boyer/Jodie Valade @PDcavsinsider ESPN's Andy Katz says #Cavs will host Porter-Oladipo-McLemore workout on Wednesday. Noel, Len interviews this weekend. #Cavs not saying.

Just craziness. 9 days to the draft and the team with the #1 pick still is considering 5 options.

If I was Cavs GM, and I knew I had to make the playoffs this year to keep my job. I would take Porter #1, and at 19 take my favorite of who was left at pf/c from Olynky, Nogurrie, Dieng or Gobert. #31 is a great place to catch a guy falling out of the first round and 33 isn't too shabby either. One of those picks would get me a back-up scoring pg (Cainan, Walters, Green). The other pick would be Mike Musculla as a stretch 4 if he was available and if he is not Snell, Rice, or even another pg/sg.

To be honest I think this is just a call out to all the teams interested in those 5 guys saying "Hey guys, if you're interested in any of these players, be sure to give us a call, cos you never know, we might just like him and grab him for ourselves".

Yea, Nick Cavs played that trick in 2011, and they spit out another 'rumour' each week about a different top choice just to see if it will get any bites. But future assetts aren't going to save the GM his job, he better be finding away to make that 8th spot in the East. I figure surrounding Kyrie with shooters is his best bet.
