Dr. Jones Any word on this?!

I'm guessing he's going to Kansas.. (after Duval goes to Duke)

Just got done reading the first 15-20 or so pages from this thread.

PKM absolutely loved Josh Jackson three years ago. Not looking so bad.

PGAB said De'Aaron Fox was the best prospect in the world. Also was adamant Giles would go #1. He legit can say he mentioned and liked Andrew Jones before anyone else. Mentioned him three years ago after an injury too.

Both of them didn't like Fultz as much as they should have. Still liked him in the top-10 but not top-2 love at all.

Both were right a ton and mentioned a lot of the dudes going in the first-round this year almost three years ago. Props, guys.

This thread isn't always the first spot a player is mentioned.. Trey Lyles was definitely being discussed prior to the 2015 thread...

There was definitely a long running convo with me asking PKM several times "Why is UK not recruiting Josh Jackson?? I don't understand and need an explanation.." that was a while back.. years ago..

Between me and PKM there's a good amount of good calls being made on like, 2 year time-frames and such.. I've called got many many pending shots here on an even bigger timeframe (such as Jalen Suggs)

As far as the Giles hype I was obviously wrong, there was injuries involved obviously... I also outlined preseason what he'd need to do to compete for a top spot and very quickly that de-railed, it was soemthing along the lines of "they can ease him in, but he'll need to play 20-25mpg consistently to really shake off concerns" and that obviously never happened. My calls for the next handful of #1 picks should all be better/closer.

The Fox call was good but my Robert Williams call is probably even better.. I wasn't as confident in Williams in the face of a low ranking, I just knew he was worth pointing out..

My call on Zion Williamson is looking damn fine too.. I made a thread called the top-100 prospects in the world regardless of class/territory in the summer of 2015.. It hasn't stood the test of time well as far as the rankkings are concerned but I had some interesting names on there.. Robert Williams was one of the only 4-star players mentioned.. Zion Williamson was on there.. LaMelo Ball was too..

If u look back on my comments on Fultz you'll see i was well ahead of the curve tho..

I was always high on Monk but by the time Fultz was ranked in the 20's to me it just seemed like a matter of time that he'd keep rising and I was posting it here.. I knew back then that he had the ball on a string and I used to say this kid reminds me of D'Angelo Russell.. It was when many had him as a SG.. I was early saying I thought he could play PG, though at that point I probably had him as a combo..

back when UK was recruiting Brandon Ingram I used to say I'd gladly trade 2 of the other recruits to get just him and ultimatley thats how I ended up feeling with Fultz..

This was at the time of peak Rawle Alkins hype..

After further review there's no way Giles can fall into striking distance of the Jazz pick, so don't get your hopes up cuz of that DX mock.

His range ends at about 17, and thats still after a decently steep fall..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGPUQ2EWmuc

The best part of this is really the steal at the end.. As I've said before his agility/quick reactions are his saving grace and thats where you could see it. That's sorta how I'd see him functioning at PF next to Rudy if somehow he lands in Utah.

DX updated the mock last night and put Semi Ojeleye into the 1st at #28... That mock turns to **** after the 24th pick tho..

I vehemently disagree with most of what they have listed 25-60. Bam, Jeanne, Allen, White, Peak, Okouo and Jordan Bell are the only ones where I like the range..

At least they've removed the embarrassment of having rugby briscoe in the top-60..

I came away quite impressed. I obviously can't inflate your head bigger than it already is so I had to include some players you missed on.

I would love to bump that thread of prospects and read it. Very interested in what everyone had to say.

I'll point out all the flaws in this list now that it's been brought back up and there's a great number of them. The legend/tier-system was ill conceived too.
It's a ridiculous undertaking to try to compile such a thing tho..

That being said I could put together a list like that these days and it would be better..

This exchange is the highlight of the thread.

A player I think might be severely underrated on this list is 6'5" Zion Williamson #64. I've seen early James Harden comparisons, he's certainly damn athletic. Video's 2 days old.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZzMvolFTR4 -2019 for this threads purposes.

It's pretty damn obvious that Zion belongs in Utah. We shouldn't even have to use a draft pick on this guy. They should just automatically give him to us.

Part of what makes this type of list an absurd undertaking is getting accurate height measurements. Many of these players were not as tall as they are now when I wrote it..

Darius Garland #54 was only like 5'10" back when this was made, now he's a legit 6'1" (and the top ranked PG in the HS class of 2018)

DeAndre Ayton would be #1 on my list.

Anyone else see Josh Hart on the Spurs? I really want him on the jazz. Burks will probably get traded to keep jingles so Hart can step right in and produce.

I gotta stop liking players because hartenstein has moved up now and is looking late teens early 20s.

I just can't get excited about the leaf but my feelings about him are the same as I had for Hayward when he came out.

Caleb swanigan is one I think would fit well next to gobert. He will always have to be careful about his weight.

I've been a big Josh Hart fan. He's definitely someone who can come in and produce right away.

Hey PG_AB
Would you mind giving your opinion on Jonah Bolden if you have one? A bit biased here being an Aussie but I think he is one guy who should be climbing some boards.

I always liked Bolden.. he's got prototype size, advanced skill level and seems smart. UCLA's super loaded but still could've used him. I'd guess his range is about 50-60.. (Arnoldas Kulboka might be one of my favorite value selections in that mock at 48, no way would I take Bolden over him..)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPyUqkM78jU&t=1s
I haven't seen Bolden play this year. seems like he's grown.. I've always thought of him as a wing player so seeing DX have him at PF is odd.

They used to compare him to Nic Batum, that was popular at one point.
