Following Potential 2018 Draftees

6'7" Swedish wing born in '99 gaining hype at the U18 Euro chip.

[tweet]810021990023176192[/tweet]

This Swede is a much safer option to beat Greece's fullcourt press than their PG.. Interesting player, definitely has a pro frame.

He just brought theball up and did a crazy drive to the basket vs fullcourt defense, Great move/finish!

4-star 6'5" SG Chaundee Brown is definitely a sleeper. Wake Forest commit, he should be able to really contribute next year. I like his chances at making the league.

Hooray!! Jarred Vanderbilt commits to UK. He was the first player I posted about in this class many years back. Still a lottery talent.

This might be one of their best classes on the boards with PJ Washington, Vanderbilt and Richards.

LOL Here's a video of Collin Sexton (whoI've got as the top PG in the class) talking **** to Penny Hardaway, about his son being trash. I swear he's got a lil Allen Iverson to his game.

[tweet]811945196820824064[/tweet]

This kid is literally all the **** that the Jazz must've hoped Trey Burke would be, he's a GREAT shooter, has an absolutely filthy step-back J and he's also hand's down the quickest player in the class.

Possible #1 pick in 2018 Michael Porter Jr. faces off with the likely #1 2019pick Marvin Bagley in 2 hours for the Les Schwab Invitational final.

Not a bad night to be home sick. Hoping im recovered by tomorrow night..

It's becoming increasingly obvious that at this point in time, Michael Porter Jr is hands-down the most reliably dynamic/productive/most polished player in this class.

If he ends up being the best prospect from this class is another conversation.
He's certainly EXTREMELY safe with pretty much 0% bust potential..

Even though I haven't had him #1 in my mocks or anything I've long said that Porter is easily gonna be the favorite for ROY.

There's no doubt he's a superior prospect than Jayson Tatum who's pretty much a lock to go in the top-10 in the 2017 draft.. He's sorta got some Hayward to his game, he can handle the Hayward role and sooner than you'd expect... As I said on the first page of this thread Grant Hill is a legit comp, his offensive game is remarkably complete -- to the point where he might be able to step in as a 3rd option for a team as a rookie...

If he was eligible he'd easily go in the top-5 of the 2017 draft

Eyy [MENTION=430]Dr. Jones[/MENTION] have you seen people claiming Vanderbilt is pay-to-play because of this tweet?. LOL.. what an absurd leap of faith..

These people are obviously grasping at straws.. The comment certainly can be interpreted a few different ways - I think it's quite obviously that Febres believes it's a foregone conclusion Vanderbilt goes high in this draft now that he's at UK..

People are petty.
I'm assuming it was a joke or implying the Kentucky effect and pro career ahead.

Can't wait to see him in action! He still looks skinny obviously, but just looking at him It really seems like he's made some serious progress building a foundation for more strength.

Was just a bunch of Duke fans that are quite sour over the start of their season..

IDK what kind of GPA Mo Bamba holds(wouldn't care if I knew anyways) he's gotta have an IQ in the 120+ range tho.. You've gotta hear him speak, he's truly got the gift of the gab - I've been listening to him interview(and reading his blogs for USA Today) for a while now it's uncanny... He's gotta be the most well-spoken lottery talent bigman prospect since Tim Duncan.. The local media is going to love having him around.

Porzingis rates very highly on that spectrum but Bamba's almost like on some Obama ****.

This will be a storyline in this draft at somepoint. Especially with Bamba and Carter getting offers from Harvard.

DX updated the 2018 mock too. It's actually pretty good. They finally started giving P.J. Dozier his due respect.

Rawle Alkins at 40 is my biggest complaint. They prefer Donovann Mitchell, who's 29th in the 2017 mock. I certainly don't.

Not crazy bout the order of the top-8

Anyone who really got hyped for Trey Burke should watch this video. This is what a lottery pick with that scoring skillset is supposed to look like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_eIJ6mNxV8

I have a difficult time expressing how much better Sexton is than Trey (or a player with flaws like Trey) I'ma settle on saying he's about 50x better...

His step-back is insane. One of the best I've seen bar none. Might even be better than Jamal Murray just because of the speed at which he pulls it off..

He talks a ton of **** and backs it up too. Very entertaining player. I believe there's some Allen Iverson to his game.

Wow... I might have to move him up to #1.. It's gonna be some type of war to secure a top 8 spot in this draft (talmbout from the players perspective)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOzoHyCt_i0

He's like Pistol Pete talent level but 6'7" with a strong frame..

He's listed at 6'2" and is very athletic so not sure how fair of comparison it is. Burke was the 9th pick in a bad draft (we had to get excited about someone).

It's not a fair comparison, point is their skillsets are comparable. Sexton can run circles around him, he's the quickest guard in the class. He's lightning fast.

Just think of this - he went from completely unranked by all services last year to top-10 by all services this year... also won the scoring title in the Nke EYBL league (by a wide margin) and was the MVP of Team USA's latest gold medal run at the U17 level... U really gotta have a whole lot of juice/sauce to be able to pull that off, and this kid most certainly has **fewtcha voice** too much sauce ***

Zach Brown has gotta be the stupidest recruit I can recall. It's been said taller people are smarter, well not in his case. He's an imbecile.

By: Andy Slater

St. John's four-star basketball recruit is once again heading to the wrong court.

The school's incoming 7-foot-1 center, Zach Brown, was arrested in Hollywood, FL early Sunday morning.

According to an exclusively-obtained police report, Brown was waiting in line at Walgreens, reached into the cash register and stole money.

Exclusive surveillance video shows Brown (black shirt w/ white stripes) and his brother with their hands in the register.

Brown's 20-year-old brother, Clayton, was also arrested.

Witnesses immediately called police and said the store had been robbed, the report says. They also pointed out Brown's car to cops. It had a broken window.

Officers were able to catch up to Brown's car, pulled him over, and arrested him.

Brown, 19, was already facing felony charges of credit card fraud and robbery in Miami from May 2016.

Once a star at Miami Beach Senior High, Brown transferred high schools several times, including a brief stint in Connecticut. He is currently playing for Calusa Prep in Miami.

Police say they found $135 in five-dollar bills in the basketball player's front pocket. Brown's brother had $30 in his jacket pocket, the report says.

Both were charged with first-degree petit theft, a misdemeanor. Zach was also ticketed for driving with a suspended license and having an expired tag on his car.

St. John's University says "the department of athletics thoroughly reviews allegations of misconduct for both current and prospective student-athletes. Per university policy and as required by law, publicly commenting on particular student cases is prohibited."
