Following Potential 2025 Draftees

In terms of claims made in my post:

1. Hendricks was the worst case scenario for the Jazz: The Jazz confirmed he was 9th on their big board.
2. The Jazz considered taking Keyonte over Hendricks: The Jazz confirmed this.
3. Keyonte is one of the worst defenders in the NBA: Tough to prove this, but many metrics suggesting it and... Come on.
4. Cody Williams was a terrible shooter in HS: Shot 34% from three in HS, all were standstill, and took 11 midrange jumpers in his entire HS career. He just couldn't get shots off in HS or college and missed most of his shots in HS.
5. Cody Williams was a terrible defender in college: He could do OK defending physically weak player one-on-one, but he was just abysmal at everything else. Could not rebound at all and provided nothing in terms of help defense. Extremely bad stock numbers.
6. The Jazz were aiming for Coulibaly: Strong suggested by good rumor sources.
7. Cody was drafted a shot creator: This is the only thing I liked about him in college, maybe the Jazz drafted him differently I suppose.
8. Cody, Keyonte, and Coulibaly don't have much in common: Do they?

I didn’t read any of this.

I just chose this post as it was the last one I read. I am speaking about your body of work and style of interaction here.

It’s got to feel incredible to always be right and certain about everything.

So I'm responding to a post that says with extreme confidence that the Jazz will take Ace Bailey at 5 if available because the Jazz want shooters and defenders (???) and my post responds with "IDK what their type is playstyle wise, their targets haven't had much in common."

And this is the interaction that gets you to rant about my arrogance...?

My Top 15 would be:
  1. Flagg
  2. Harper
  3. Johnson
  4. Bailey
  5. Essengue
  6. Edgecombe
  7. Fears
  8. Kon
  9. CMB
  10. I might put Raynaud close to this high, but I'd need to watch him more
  11. Jase
  12. Queen
  13. Kasparas
  14. Bryant
  15. Beringer

Not doing a big board. I don’t know enough prospects. I’ve mostly focused on the top 5-7 guys. So here is my top 7.

Flagg
Harper
Ace
Tre
Jakucionis
Kon
Fears

Yep VJ in my top 7 or 10. I’m thinking just after the lottery. I just don’t think he’s skilled enough to be a big impact.

Here is Tony Allens take on Cooper: "“I don’t think Cooper Flagg is going to turn your franchise around like that,” Allen said recently on GrindCityMedia. “I’m serious. I ain’t seeing (Kevin Durant). I'm just not seeing it. I'm seeing Andrei Kirilenko. He is going to be a one-time All-Star. I don't see it, bro. I'm just not hyped on these Duke kids. He is nice, but his max-out potential is Andrei Kirilenko."

He’s Andrei Kirilenko if Andrei Kirilenko had muscle+ explosion and a jumpshot. Allen sounds jealous to me.

Just a thought....Everyone that is not just trying to be edgy has Harper #2. It's pretty much uncontested. He's not the best shooter, I don't think he's the best passer, and I don't think he played the most amazing defense this year either. His case is really based on #1 He's really freaking good at attacking the hoop and #2 attacking the hoop is really important. I'd 100% agree with those things on Harper and I also carry that logic with the rest of board. Being able to attack the rim and produce the efficient shots for himself/teammates is king.

I was watching the CMB assists highlights and I was really impressed, so I decided to compare with Queen thinking he might be on the same level. Queen just processes things at a different speed.

Queen processes faster or slower, by your estimation?

He doesn’t impress me. Like, at all. How he moves almost angers me.
Queen processes faster.

There are about 5 or 6 assist highlights where the ball gets out of his hands so quickly it's almost like a volleyball pass. When I went back to figure out what he was doing he was seeing how the defense was going to shift mid air as he was receiving the pass. It was crazy impressive.

I'm not a Queen fan. I hate his defense and don't think his game is going to be easy to fit in to the NBA. Previous to this film review I thought his passing was overrated as well. I love CMB and when I saw his assists package I thought it would hold up to Queens, and so my intent at watching Queen's assists package was to compare. CMB is an impressive passer for a big, Queen is just more impressive.

It does make sense though. They only way for someone as unathletic as Queen to be that productive is to be a very fast processor of the game.
