Two thoughts about this Bailey thing.

1. Dude has player empowerment written all over him.
If he turns out to be the best projected version of hm.. is it gonna get even worse? Is he gonna go full James Harden mode and just try and dictate when he is traded and where throughout his career?

2. He is giving up a lot of money by tanking his draft stock.
You can think of that as a positive sign that he bets on his future contracts by seeking a situation where he can max out his development.. but you also have to be concerned since you cant even expect to buy his loyalty and commitment. Players who always chase max $$$ are at least predictable and you can keep them if you pay them.

Your first point is a great point. Don't see him as a guy that will stick it out with 1 franchise for his career. More like a guy that will ask out if things aren't going right. But, maybe I am misreading him and he just loves 1 team like Haliburton? I would be cautious, maybe hire some psychology guys to profile Ace's personality.

If he starts his career by chasing an advantageous position... then you should expect him to continue chasing them in the future as well.. right?
 
Ace is treating this like AAU and has people around him that may cost him some serious money. Maybe this is a big brain move to get taken at 4 and still get to his destination of choice but it’s more likely to turn out poorly.
