And often to see a specialist it’ll take months and months. It took nearly four months for me to get an appointment with my ENT and get surgery. In those four months I suffered through nonstop sinus infections.Ya i pay hundreds of dollars per month for insurance yet its still so expensive to get treated for things that i have needed surgery on a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder since last September but havent gotten the surgery because i cant afford it.
All the excuses I remember reading 13 years ago against having a Medicaid option in the ACA were really just projection. We’ve needed to go to a single payer system a long time ago. Where it’s with nonprofit insurance companies like other western democracies have or a straight Medicare system, like Canada. It should be treated like a utility.
Unfortunately, many on the right won’t like that because they’ll see brown and black people getting something.
