World citizen implies world government. A world government would inevitably become tyrannical, imo. So I cannot sign on.

I would say that I am a citizen of post enlightenment civilization. I would fight for that, I would die for that. I find the idea of national language, national identity, national interest to be counter to what our civilization ultimately stands for.
 
Not sure how I feel about deporting citizens who can't speak Dutch.

It should not come to language at the end. If they have legal work permit or permanent residence status - they should be allowed to stay. Deporting is extreme measure and is usually is reserved to illegal immigrants or criminals.

maybe in you perfect ideal world.
but we sadly
they say Vol is Vol
as in full is full.

they are trying anything to get people out of the country.
spending millions on it.

raising prices of fee's to such levels beyond stupidity.
but anywho, they are spending all this money on imigration and stupid laws.

to are attacking a symptom of a larger problem.

but thats what this world has come to symptom treatment

I believe they have serious reasons for that and they are not alone, all Europe is troubled by illegal immigration. Small countries like Netherlands can only support limited numbers of immigrants - and they need to be willing to integrate, work, study, be decent residents and not a burden for that country. Sweden example is perfect illustration what can happen when it gets out of control
