What's new

Zach Lowe makes an outline for us: trade possibilities

We have to collect all the Aussies, so Mills it is. He would be a great price to add. He's still pretty young as well.

Getting Diaw would be a mistake.

What if that is the price to acquire Mills? He'd obviously be a one or two year stop gap but if motivated he'd be a fine bench piece and has a lot of what we need to mix in our front court.

Mills by himself doesn't open a ton of cap space for them. They could open up almost as much by declining to make the QO on Joseph.

They also have another Aussie in reserve big Aaron Baynes.

I'd be happy with either Joseph or Mills instead of Burke. Ironically Mills was pretty much only known for his playmaking and speed when he first got into the national team, not for his shooting at all. Been strange seeing him as an instant offense kind of guy but he would fit into the Jazz beautifully

If Burke could dribble the ball, that's what we need. We need Joseph AND Mills to fill in the extra roles of our team. But Zach Lowe? He is a great writer, don't get me wrong, but if there is one thing I've learned about writers, it's that they have an agenda. Lowe wants to fill the void, create Jazz basketball. Is that what WE want though? If it is, we should go for it.

What kind of drugs are you on? I want the opposite.

Not sure why people hype Cory Joseph so much? 3rd string PG.. Just because he plays for the Spurs?

Burke is coming into his 3rd pro year. That is the year Points show there most improvement. Spurs backup points are nothing special. The Jazz perhaps would look to get Splitter as a 4th big. That's it though.

First off... this is the post/response of the year for me. Well done both of you. That post by Craig K. Manscill still has me laughing. - Craig" ?!?!?! - PROVO!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha. It all makes sense. The picture is just the cherry on top.

Next, Corey Joseph doesn't make us a contender. As long as we are looking at the Zach Lowe article for off season ideas... let's pick out a concept from the article that makes us get to the next level. Let's shoot for the stars. How's about the Jazz going hard to sign the perfect fit for the team and one that would compliment Rudy? Free Agent, stretch 4, and failed Cleveland experiment Kevin Love.

Think about it. We need a stretch 4. We want to stretch the court. We want a player that can make our attack more dynamic to compliment our defensive prowess and to bring us to the next level... what better fit is there than Kevin Love? He is coming off an injury... he can walk away from Cleveland where he doesn't seem to be thrilled about playing... and Boston isn't a great fit for him. There may not be a better fit for Kevin Love to fit into an offense other than Utah.

It's a pipe dream, I know. But so is Provo.
