Jazz Playoff Watch

More worried about the Mavs than the Spurs, IMO. The Mavs are fresh off of a Finals run, and the Spurs are fresh off of a first round exit. Not to mention the fact that an old team has just gotten yet another year older.

I doubt any of the WC seeds would prefer to play Utah if the postseason started next week. We are a scary team and difficult to prepare for. Utah has shown that they can get out and run, score in a grinding game, defend in the half court and the break, and have recently been defending the pick n roll. Possibly the deepest team in the west. Right now there isn't anything Utah doesn't do well except shoot from distance and defend the same.

Favors, Burks, Harris, and Hayward are all looking really good and the team is just on fire because of them. Jefferson too, this is the best ball of his career. Jazz are a tough out.

Crazy how far expectations have come from where we were a couple months back. These guys are playing with some heart.

It's hard to fathom what has changed for the Jazz but suddenly everyone is playing defense, scoring at will, and the ball movement is nothing short of spectacular. We must have had like 15 dunks last night. They are starting to look brilliant.

Win over Miami?

Raja meeting management incident?

Yes, as much as I want to see Dallas fall out of the playoffs, I just don't see it happening. I expect them to move up to 4 or 5. But Houston, I want us to put as much space between them and us as possible.

I'd like Phoenix and Minny to pass Denver and Houston. I hate the Rockets and Nuggets. Only problem with that is that the Nuggets and Rockets would get lootery picks.

What has changed is that the trade deadline has passed. The noise associated with that was more concerning to the players (AJ, Harris, Millsap) than the issue of playing to win.

Maybe. But more likely this is a culmination of coaching and development. The Jazz have been better from Harris and Jefferson being better, sure, but everybody else has been good too. All the way down the bench. IMO this is all about Corbin. Who is the keystone piece in the Jazz's development. This team might never again be in this position as far as talent aquired, assets in transition and expiring contracts. Utah HAS to find out if Corbin is a coach that can take the team where it is destined to go. We cannot wait until the end of next season, or the next. By that time if our coach sucks the young players will have already decided to go.

Fortunately for all of us, Corbin has been a very good coach by almost every definition. I am very excited to see what this team does in the playoffs.

Since houston beat dallas last night...Utah is just one game out of 4th place!

Can anyone explain why Dallas got called for a 8 second violation at the end of OT when only 5.8 seconds came off the clock?
It's at the end of the nba.com highlights.

Good point

Good point.... this may have n=been offset somewhat because similar issues had to be on the minds of our competition
