I like it. Enforcer on a scrappy upstart team. Would probably stop any and all wet willy/slapping the ball out of people's hands shenanigans. Because that's the only thing holding us back. Too many damn wet willies.

That is what I missed when the Jazz let Watson go. Still very fondly remember him going after Dirk for the way he slapped the ball out of Favors hands.

Guys- he posted positive PER. 5 Mil a year is not bad at all for a young guy with a nice midrange game and is willing bang down low. We need quality reserves and he fits the bill. 5 Million...lol have you seen the contracts this offseason? chump change nowadays.

I'm actually coming around after I looked at his shot chart. He's the best mid range shooter of the bigs and is superior to Evans in this regard. So he will kind of stretch the floor. Just wasn't the guy I thought we'd go after.

By itself it isn't really anything to worry about. But when you add this to the Hayward deal suddenly that is 6-7 million to much instead of 1-2. Goes along with a previous point I made about unhealthy deals pilling up.

Either way he is here now and I hope he has a great year and earns that 5 million.

On the other hand, next year we'll have a mid-level expiring deal to include in any trade negotiations. Plus the smaller one with Novak. Jefferson and Williams were good assets, but their salaries made them difficult to trade.
