It's hilarious AKMVP claimed to be leaving the site because the Jazz drafted Exum, but he still reads the board and negs people and likes posts that reinforce his negative positions. Seriously dude, just start posting again everyone knows you're still here.
I don't think he'd do that. I was watching yesterday's tipoff and he started to say hell and caught himself and said heck. He then went on to say something about how he just got back from vacation and was still in that mode. It looks like he goes out of his way not to offend all of the LDS fans.
I agree it is easier for some to look at the negative, but I've been on this board for four years and people will find something to be unhappy about even when the team is doing better. I think part of the problem is that long time Jazz fans were incredibly spoiled by having Stockton and Malone...
Seriously what is with all of the negativity on this forum? I realize that Burke has been a bit of a disappoint so far, but it seems like more people are rooting for his failure so they can confirm their feelings about him as a player. I'm not saying everyone should pretend to love him, but do...
It has nothing to do with his skin color. It has everything to do with that he is not an NBA quality player. Plus he would be hugely polarizing on the Jazz due to where he played.
I'm going to go with 32 wins. I think there is a possibility of more if the Jazz stay relatively injury free and Quin's system is executed well, but I am going to be realistic for now.
Unless a couple of players have truly breaktout seasons, I don't see the Jazz winning more than 35 games. I think 30-35 is realistic. I think Growlor is right. It's a brand new system and coach, and a fair amount of new faces. I really hope I'm wrong, but I think it's going to be relatively...
I thought Exum had some good moments on defense, but he can be lazy on getting through screens and sometimes he over commits and gets burned by the ball handler. I do believe he has all the tools to be an excellent defender, especially once he improves his strength and conditioning.
I think it's likely that Exum comes off the bench to play point. I think it will help him to go against some other second units at least initially. He will to adjust to the NBA speed and strength needed. I really don't like him starting at SG. Alex or Gordon should in my opinion. One thing...
He made a couple of nice passes, but he looks really gassed. I am not going to worry too much about it as it's summer league, but he hasn't looked good since impressing me in game one.
Another interesting note was I could have sworn that Quin seemed rather sure of Exum and Burke being able to share the backcourt in recent interviews, and today he said he thinks they can. I may have confirmation bias, but he does seem a little less sure of their ability to co-exist on the court.
