No Kanter in the FIBA WC 2014 and His Injury is More Serious Than It Has Been Declared!

Isn't Kanter Swiss too? Why doesn't he just declare it so, and be done with Turkey?
Yes he is Swiss. He can't speak Turkish. Does not eat Turkish food. Never have been to Turkey actually. He is a a Mormon and that's the reason for all his love case for the Jazz throughout his first two.

Is this some kind of strange Turkish hyperbole? Turkperbole if you will?

@AKMVP.. if you are sure I'm wrong about what I wrote about Kanter and Fenerbahce.. why hide behind a neg and why don't you state your position publicly? You should be accustomed to public ridicule by now.

I always thought it was strange Kanter wanted to play for the national team after his remarks a few years ago. I just assumed fences had been mended.

I think there is some misjudgement around here about Enes's national opinion. He's actually quite patriotic/nationalistic. Much more than me. He frequently tweets or retweets patriotic sentences. Although some of them are somehow related with the agenda of his sect, he sounds pretty genuine at whatever he writes.

This tweet also sounds hundred percent sincere to me.

With the hope of wearing the Turkish National team jersey once again and serving to my nation...

Statement:

The more important thing is, the risk of not being able have the chance to represent our beautiful country Turkiye at the FIBA WC this year that I am looking forward to.

Although this big risk, in the case of my recovery, I hope wearing the Turkish NT jersey again to be able to contribute to my team even it's for a little bit and I hope to be able to serve my nation. Waiting for everyone's prayers.

we call it PR. He knows that he lost all support of most of Turkish people and tries to fix it, though iam not sure it works.

I don't know. Whenever he spoke about the NT, he always looked genuinely positive and said the similarly patriotic things. I'm talking about way before the ha ha incident. In Eurobasket 2011 he seemed to very well blended within the team averaging 10 pts in only 18 mins with 60% FG. Yet the genius coach didn't give him any more playing time. Despite that Enes didn't seem having any problem in any of his interviews after the tournament.

The whole stupid thing began with him ditching the NT at the last moment for some reason, that was super weird for me. But also inexcusable and I was very hard on him. But the bigger/biggest mistake in my opinion was the idiotic approach of the Turkish federation to the case. They chose to punish him and talked behind him stupidly. They simply alienated the kid. You can't win a kid that way. Btw, yes, he was just a kid and we all know how Enes behaved very immature, just like a kid, most of the time on many things. You know the Turkish saying, "Çocukla çocuk olunmaz" (literally: you can't be a child against a child, similar to: The boys will be boys)

I see that ha ha reaction as a result of that alienation and back-firing of the stupid retaliation of the federation. It was a knee jerk reaction, an instantaneous error by Enes, most probably towards the federation or authorities rather than being towards the NT, players or his country.

Honestly, to me now, the Turkish basketball federation is the biggest fool here as they couldn't handle such a simple situation.

It's hilarious AKMVP claimed to be leaving the site because the Jazz drafted Exum, but he still reads the board and negs people and likes posts that reinforce his negative positions. Seriously dude, just start posting again everyone knows you're still here.

It's a caricature criticizing the government, particularly the ministry of justice. The guy in the caricature shouting into the building of the ministry of justice, "Hey, is there anyone inside?"

They(Turks obviously) ask to the Swiss Minister "There isn't any sea in Switzerland, but why do you have the Ministry of Maritime Affairs? He replies, "There isn't any justice in Turkey but there is the Ministry of Justice!"
