A plea for more scoring and ball handling via the 12th pick

The play of Trey Lyles at the end of the season has taken my vote for Skal Labissiere taken by Jazz away.
I'd like to see Lyles tone up to 240# on his 6'10 frame and Favors tone down to about 258# on his 6'10 frame to ready himself for a more uptempo pace that Exum will be pushing the Jazz into.I don't want to see Gobert "muscle up" ,with his reach, mobility and flexibility the Jazz will be the elite defensive team in the NBA next season,I do want to see him get stronger in the arms ,forearms ,wrist and hands though.I think stronger hands ,more uptempo with Exum ,and get in the 65% range in FT's and Gobert is 12/13 ppg and 12/13 rpg.Easily elite with the defense he brings.

Alex Burks will be 25 next upcoming season with 2 seasons in a row derailed by injury.Sucks but if Burks doesn't break out as a big star next year ,you might have to let him ride out his contract and draft a scorer and a wing player with the 12th pick.
With Exum healthy and Gobert to get healthy also after his 1st full season as the Jazz defensive anchor, the defense looks to be NBA dominant.
Jazz need scoring.......the 12th pick should go towards taking Furkan Korkmaz
Korkmaz can be described as a natural born scorer ... This type of player is the dream of every coach ... He has almost everything in the offensive dimension of the game and rarely struggle to create a score option to himself ... He is a sharp shooter with a high percentage behind the arc

Just like Burks ,Hayward might have the opportunity to leave in two years....Rodney Hood is 6'8 and has room to get stronger and the length to play Haywards position should Jazz lose Hayward. So picking up Korkmaz is being prepared for either losing Burks or Hayward.

As a backup pick should Korkmaz be taken just before Jazz pick.....Though Sheldon Mack played well when picked up by Jazz as well as a favorite of Coach Snyders, the Jazz have a great opportunity to get a potential elite scorer to add to their stable of young talent that is almost grown up and poised to take a great leap to elite status........Dejounte Murray is a combo guard with great offensive skills and projected as a combo guard
Combo guard with tremendous handles and versatility … Prototypical basketball body with great length, big wingspan (measured at 6'9.5 in 2014) … Explosive athlete, who should become more so as his body fills out … Electric ball handling ability with crossovers and ball on a string type dribbling ability
,he should be able to back up Exum but be a good enough scorer to play alongside Exum as well.

The Jazz are if healthy will move up to an elite team but still need an elite scorer. They need more speed with Exum and ball handling with Exum to bring the ball up and free up Hood and Hayward to score more and not have to bring the ball upcourt .The slow pace though it helps the defense hurts the offense.Add Korkmaz or a Murray and the Jazz will be fast ,long and able to compete for years to come.

I could get behind this. The Jazz have historically had great success with Turkish players that can shoot the three ball well at a high volume.

I like the sound of him. Though, I've seen zero seconds of him playing, so I can't speak to his game at all.

Clearly, we need another good 4th wing, because Burks staying healthy is proving to be a real gamble.

I don't see how Lyles late season play would rule out Skal though.. Skal operates in the high post area really well, so he and Lyles would create an inside/outside threat.

Skal would certainly add scoring to the big rotation FWIW. His jumpshot is wet, and he's got some nice moves in the arsenal, and a soft touch.

The question is how will they hold up on the boards and guarding the rim... so we've gotta see how Skal measures/weighs at the combine first.. and then how he fares during team workouts..

I think the Jazz had too much ball-handling at the end, they needed finishers, vacuum players, not creators...

I wouldn't be mad about a move up for Kris Dunn, either.

I'm all about Exum, don't get me wrong, but he's unproven and coming off a torn ACL. We point blank need better PG play and that kid can hoop. Big Kris Dunn fan.

If we really want better PG play the answer isnt to draft an unproven rookie, it's signing Mike Conley.

I think Trey Burke would have given the Jazz more scoring and ball handling, if they let him play.
Lol. Because he didn't play the first 50 games or so of the season, really?

You're not fooling everyone. Atleast speak the truth. If u were all about Exum u wouldn't bring up a soon to be drafted rookie pg, and calling him more proven then Exum. Don't be a dumbass!!

It's fine if u don't think Exum is good, then come out and say it, good hell!!

Calm down mate. You can have two good guards on a young team, that's not a disaster. They could probably play together as well.

How in the hell is Dunn more proven then Exum. What the ****!!?

He's not. I just don't see a splashy PG signing (like Conley) in the cards for us this offseason. Not much has changed, we're still not a sexy FA destination.

Depending on who is available via trade, the draft may be our best chance to bolster the PG spot and he's the draft's best point guard.

We need three-point shooting like yesterday.

We counted on JOE INGLES and SHELVIN MACK to be our knockdown shooters as the season closed. Hood, Hayward, Johnson, and Neto couldn't be counted on. Lyles was dope, and that was about it.
