Fainting Hillary

Depends on what kind of wall you build. It might work. Make it 300 feet tall. Covered in grease so its really slippery. Also make it penetrate into the ground 100 feet. Make the wall 60 feet thick solid steel and concrete.

Stop it, you're making Dr. Jones horny.

I'm pretty sure the video you are referring to does not exist. If it did the Clinton campaign would have showed it to each one of us a billion times by now. There are claims he said the sorts of things you are saying in magazine articles, but so far they have all been debunked.

Then again, you had no idea about Roger Ailes getting paid twice as much as one of his sexual harassment victims. Perhaps your choice of news shows has what they call in the biz, selective programming.

If the video exists go ahead and post it for those of us who are not doing as good a job of following the left wing perspective as you are. Otherwise it seems as if you are trying to diss people for ignoring evidence that doesn't exist.

I dunno if I'm answering what you are asking, but the reason I said "This" to Cy's post was simply because the financial reasons I talked about in my previous post was referring to the fact that lots of people say the wall would be so outrageously expensive that is not even possible to build it. I wasn't trying to make some larger point about the financial benefits or detriments of keeping immigrants out.

To answer a question I'm not sure CL is asking, how would I see a border wall affecting my everyday life? Probably none except for if one of my best friends family who is here illegally were deported (never happening).

If you read all of my posts in this thread, I've been asking honest questions, not stating my opinion really. I'm curious why building a wall (besides the fact it's to expensive) is seen as such a crazy thing to people. I don't think most people are against having immigration laws, so their problem would be with enforcing them in a way that is mean or something?

My stance is, if building a wall were possible (I dunno if it is) it would be a no brainer.

I am 100% against deporting any people who are already in the US that haven't committed crimes.

Like I've said in other threads, Trump is going the Obama route of basing his campaign on outlandish things he can't possibly do. Everyone is busy debating the wall and mass deportations, and neither of those things will happen IMO

Take a look at the video in this thread. John Oliver just won an Emmy, and he is more insightful than most real journalists.

Mass deportation would almost certainly happen. And a wall, although a lot more modest than proposed, would absolutely be constructed. Those things are relatively easy, and will appease his base without causing that big a backlash (who's talking about Obama's mass deportations?). Campaign promises are not empty, even if they're often unfulfilled.

Obama is mass deporting people? Or just criminals or what?

Obama has deported more illegal immigrants than any President in history. And it's not criminals, but all undocumented immigrants. His administration even devised programs that specifically target children.

How Hispanics still support either party is amazing.

UGLI,

So you don't think our cost of living would go up, possibly a lot, and that many, many small businesses across the country would be devastated?
