What's new

Hill is probably going to the Jazz, if they want him.

If Hill/Hayward comes back. Apparently they come as a package.

Hill, Exum, Neto (Goss Dleague)
Ingles, Hood, Mitchell, Burks
Hayward, Joe Johnson
Favors, Bolomboy (Diaw)
Gobert, Withey, Bradley

Would love this roster. Getting rid of Mack! Team is more athletic, and skilled all around.
Lets get stronger, and more athletic across the board with Mitchell, and Bradley.

Bradley is not very athletic at all FWIW.

One thing I have been told is that Gordon Hayward is hoping that the Jazz will re-sign George Hill.

Somebody needs to tell Gordon too bad so sad, as the Jazz intend on playing hardball with Hill to teach him a lesson for not taking our offer in the first place.

Jody Genessy on twitter: "One thing I have been told is that Gordon Hayward is hoping that the Jazz will re-sign George Hill."

If Jody wrote it, it us very credible. This is the best sign for us so far, says Gordon has not decided to leave.

Guys - we won't win jack **** if we pay Hayward and Hill a combined $50 million per year. No chance.

Hayward is worth max, but not because we overpaid Hill. I hate our situation.

Agreed. If Hill wants to play with Hayward and vise versa then one of them has to give. And I'm pretty sure it's not going to be Gordon.

Yeah, I'd probably lowball the **** out of Hill, even if it drags on for a month. Then maybe we can trade to get Gordon back after he signed with Boston during the first week.

Fortunately, this means Hayward will most likely stay if a Hill deal gets done. Otherwise, why would he even care if he's already out the door. This is good news folks.

Unfortunately, Hayward requiring Hill to resign put the Jazz in a tough spot. Hill has all the leverage with Hayward behind him. But it doesn't really matter....

You do it. You pay Hill whatever it takes and you get Hayward back.

Those here that think the Jazz are in any position to "teach players a lesson", you up in the night. The Jazz will pay and we'll get to see what this team can really do.

Yeah but Hill turned down our generous offer and now we must humiliate him, so that players will learn to never turn us down again. I'm sure Hayward will wait until Hill is ready to come crawling back with his tail between his legs. It's not like losing these 2 players would be a bigger deal than overpaying Hill. Hmmm. Now that I say that out loud, it does sound a little nutty. Whatevs.

4 Team Trade: Minnesota, Utah, Cleveland, and Indiana

Utah trades: S&T George Hill, Derrick Favors, and a 1st round pick

Utah gets: Kevin Love

Minnesota trades: Ricky Rubio, 1st round pick

Minnesota gets: George Hill, Derrick Favors

Indiana trades: Paul George

Indiana gets: Ricky Rubio, 1st round picks from Utah and Minnesota (lottery protected on each), Cedi Osman

Cleveland trades: Kevin Love, Cedi Osman

Cleveland gets: Paul George

Does this work? I have no idea. But I think it makes sense for all teams? Am I giving Minnesota too much? Can I pull Favors and just figure out a separate trade involving him that gets Utah more back?
Pretty damn even good fair trade imo.
Everyone wins

If the Jazz did this and Signed Teodosic their starting 5 could be:

Gobert/Love/Hayward/Hood/Teodosic

If that was the case I would hope you all are ready for white Mormon Utah jokes to flood the internet come the start of the season.
I love that starting 5

Jody says Hayward wants Hill back. Which seems so much more doable now. Timing is tricky.

So if our best chance at Hayward is Hill then no PG trades with cap space. Now we need to sure up PF or backup center if we move Favs.

What if Hill wants 4/80? Or more? At what point do you decide you're fine with losing both players to avoid overpaying Hill?
Pay em both.
**** it
