Jabari Parker could be had fairly cheap

If we signed Exum for 8 million, rennounced Favors, Udoh, and Jerebko, how much room would we have?

I think about $10m. Parker won't come that cheap. Milwaukee would most certainly match a $2/$20m deal. And Parker would likely prefer to just play for the QO and take his chances in July 2019 at signing a big deal.

We can renounce Favors and Thabo and sign Exum to have the money for Jabari. If they dont match, we decline Jerekbo.

Um, no. You have to have the cap space to sign someone to an offer sheet. Jabari ain't signing for under $15m. He'll play for the QO. BTW, has anyone heard about Thabo? I believe the Jazz had to make a decision by today.

But Jabari plays a position of need and is a proven scorer..

I'm just saying, imagine we had drafted Jabari. I'm willing to bet we'd match any offers.

Up to a certain point, yes. But let's say Sacto offered Jabarai a 20m+ per year deal. Given his history, we'd have to let him walk.

Jabari at the MLE would be a fantastic deal for us. Doubt it happens, though. My guess is at least one team will have the room/willingness to pay him above the full MLE, which likely prices us out.

IMO, I don't think Favors and Jabari would be mutually exclusive for us. I think if Favs re-signs, he does so knowing it will be a hybrid starting PF/backup C role. Most games he'll start, some games it will be clear that a smaller lineup is better and he'll come off the bench.

Similarly, if Jabari's market isn't great, I think the MLE with Utah would be a tempting place for him. He complements Favors/Rudy really well and regardless of whether or not he starts, he'll get plenty of minutes if he stays healthy. Sign a 1+1 or 2+1 at the MLE (last year being a player option), revive your value, and figure out next steps from there.

By midnight.

If we replaced Favors, Thabo and Jerekbo with Parker, its bold but could pay off huge. He is a former 20ppg scorer who can stretch the floor. And he is only 23.

They will match anything at the MLE in a second. You go to them about a sign and trade or it just doesn’t happen.

Jabari on a 3-4 year deal around 15-18M is a worthy gamble...
