Jazz May Be A Part of 3-Team Deal w/ Clippers

Again, that should be an ancillary benefit. It's separate from renting your Cap Space to help 2 competitors within your division that are better than you already. The only way it makes sense is if you think getting an overpaid Mo for free is worth the sticker cost. It isn't. So Dallas and LA need to cough something up.
This doesn't help Utah?
I take Mo in a heartbeat over Watson or Tinsley.
Even if KOC doesn't trade Harris right away, a PG rotation of Harris AND Williams is a big upgrade. And you can play a 2-PG lineup at times, as the Jazz were doing a bit with Deron and Maynor.

It's not about "help." It's about value to contract. Williams would have no prayer to make the money he currently does on the open market. So the Jazz have to make the other parties in the deal accountable to that.

This was from an insider article earlier this morning:

"According to Shelburne, there is a lot of interest in point guard Eric Bledsoe, however he's not going anywhere unless the Clippers get a great offer.

Finally, Mo Williams has until Saturday to exercise his $8.5 million player option for 2012-13 and he will pick it up instead of going into the 2012 free agent market. Williams wants to start at point guard and his agent, Mark Bartelstein, is looking for teams that need someone to fill that position.

The Clippers want to acquire Lamar Odom from Dallas and they can't do a deal unless they can find a new home for Williams."

I kind of have a feeling if this trade happens we dont get more than Mo. Even though I think the TPE has more value, I think KOC wants Mo to play the "Jason Terry role" for us like someone said.

Mo Williams is open to idea of going to Utah in Odom-to-Clippers deal, source says, but is exploring all options.

Except that would be an entirely separate trade. So why would we do this unless we're getting a pick out of it?

Because the Jazz think it's the best use of the TPE available? Because it adds an asset that can be traded? Because it improves our outside shooting?

Ken Berger of CBS is reporting Mo Williams is open to going to Utah - if he agrees I assume deal gets done
