The 2001 budget was by Clintion, the 2009 budget was by Bush. Your numbers assign the 2001 budget to Bush and the 2009 budget to Obama.

WHat you said here, has been my point and my stance in every political thread on this site since I've been a member here. (adding that the media along with we Americans being too lazy to teach ourselves, being to blame)

in full disclosure, you ADDED (via edit) your views about Ryan's speech as stuffed with lies. I, and perhaps a few others, missed that in the string of volleys.

And, yes, it is very important to see how and why politicians seek to pull the wool over peoples' eyes. I can't see why you wouldn't be interested in these dynamics if you are at all interested in safeguarding freedoms.

You stated this as some big mystery steeped in conspiracy theories. They lie by speaking. They lie for money, power, and sometimes fame.

Better that then to refuse evenly call out both sides. Don't get but hurt on me. Piss on the GOP establishment. I am just not fooled into thinking the Dems care for me or think any better of me than the GOP. They will both lie directly to my face and sell me at the first sign of any gain for them. They may have different methods but they are both snakeoil salesman.

But I digress. We will save that for the thread you will never make.

There is not doubt, though, that he made a serious attempt to keep this promise. That attempt means his promise, however ill-considered, was not a lie.
