He'll be looking for his shot more; and a catch-n-shoot 3 from Ingles is currently the best shot our offense is generating, so there should be plenty to find.

Maybe just under 17 I reckon, he's too unselfish to look for his shot enough to go for more consistently. Somebody must have our win loss record last year when Joe went for 15+ i reckon it would be pretty good. 17/6.5/5 I reckon will be something near his line this year.

It depends on how many he wants to score... I’m not a mind reader @NAOS

I'm guessing 14. He just doesnt look to score consistently enough or get to the FT line (at all) to go over 15. Even last night he had 17 in the first half then just scored 5 in the 2nd.

You can tell Ingles really turns up his aggressiveness scoring when the team is going through a rough patch, then he dials it way back in favor of playmaking when the team is in a rhythm and defenses are playing him tighter.

Basically what I said then... Joe will score exactly as many as he wants to... nothing more nothing less.

In the end he will be in the 14 to 17 range.

If he averages over 20 per, he will be in the discussion for multiple awards and likely an all-star. He might get the all-star nod at 16 ppg, where I think he will end up.

Either way I think for us to reach our highest potential he needs to be much more aggressive on offense to take some of the burden off Mitchell. That will open everything up and cause opposing defenses to be on their heels each and every possession.

Man I love this team!

There were at least 3 times last night where someone missed Joe standing open near the corner. In a perfect world, that never happens, and Joe gets up a shot. This is such an efficient shot that I think Snyder should want nothing less than 17ppg average from Joe.

Burks played excellent last night with one exception: missing a reverse layup flip with Joe ****ing Ingles wide open, corner 3, right in front of Alec.

He had one classic AB long 2, but overall was very good. I honestly think he missed the layup in part because he saw Joe and had second thoughts.

I'll live with a few long twos and houdini attempts if we get that defense, passing and such.

He is a completely different player than a few years ago. He's an amazing shooter and is way better at getting his shot off.

17-20 sounds good

I want to say 14 because that's rational, but Joe has a new look in his eyes. Last year, toward the 20 game mark or so, I got the impression that he finally felt comfortable, felt like he belonged. By the end of the season that had quickly morphed from feeling like he could hang to a confidence that he can dominate. His post season performance was followed by a summer of listening to positive comments from national personalities and endless love from fans, and has fire kiln cured Joe's new ego. We are now seeing the era of a Joe Ingles who tells you he is the best shooter in the league. An era of Joe Ingles angrily yelling at refs to the point I thought he was getting T'd up during the season's very first game. A Joe Ingles who knows he can take it to the world's best, and come out the better.

I still think 14 is rational but if Joe wants to score more then Joe is going to score more. I'm hoping for more like 17.

I'll live with last night's AB and Exum every day of the week. Exum coming in (followed quckly by Rubio's departure) was what turned the game around more than anything, but Alec was a huge part too. I thought damn, if this is what opposing benches have to face... Seemed like Alec did the same in the 3rd too, but I was too busy breaking up fights to pay enough attention.

Exum looked good, but he still can't shoot very well. And those bullet drives seem to take a lot out of him.

AB looked fantastic.

If he stay's aggressive and keeps looking for his shot more he should be our second leading scorer. I could see him averaging 14-16 PPG. On the other hand, I could also see him passing up shots like he's done in the past and averaging around 11 or 12 PPG. I think he's probably our second best offensive player after Mitchell but a lot of it just comes down to how aggressive he's willing to be. On a separate note, was anyone else as surprised as I was by how few minutes O'Neal got last night?

I’m not sure if there’s ever been a player who has started out where Ingles was and has improved as much. I’ve always thought he was a smart player and could be a good role player. But his improvement over the last two years has been nothing short of mind blowing.

He came in as strictly a glue guy who could penetrate a little and dish ok. He was a good system guy. He’s now a devastating 3 Point bomber, very good defender, top level playmaker/ballhandler, and is becoming a pretty damn good finisher around the rim.

I originally saw him as a decent guy off the bench of a good playoff team. Now (obviously) he’s a good starter on a good playoff team/championship contender. I saw championship contender since aside from the warriors, who else has a better shot of knocking them off? Boston? Meh. I’d love to face them in the playoffs. Gobert and favors would murder Al

To me he’s essentially 2004-2009 Manu Ginobli-ish.

No. Exum, AB, and Jae had it going. We needed scoring, especially after that bad start. I think Royce will get more pt on nights where AB isn’t so insanely productive and when there are wings to defend. We didn’t need Royce against... josh Jackson. We will need him against Boston, golden state, and low angeles.

The guy I see riding the bench is Allen. Not sure when he plays if AB, Exum, Mitchell, Rubio and Mitchell are healthy.

Ya but that reverse layup is an extremely easy shot for burks (or pretty much anyone tbh). Its shocking that he missed.
I dont want our players passing up easy layups and dunks for threes.
