Not really. He's not as bad as you make him out to be. Most the time when he goes for the hoop he is fouled. He just doesn't make too many moves to the hoop. Maybe if he was given a green light to practice some things in game, he could get better. I say let him start shooting mid range shots, and more post up moves. I think it's worth the investment this year to teach him as much as possible instead of playing around him most the time. Doesn't really do any good to play around a guy anyways. It just screws up your offense just as bad as it would if included him more.It's not like we are doing anything this year anyways. Might as well make it a development year all the way. I'd bet we'd play better if we treated Gobert like he can play offense (even though I know he has a lot to learn). I just think he's worth the investment
He does have the green light to do those things. He freaking drove to the basket from 20 feet last game and our team finds him in the post for post-ups.
