    Backup PG?

I say bring in Beno Udrih or Will Bynum. Someone that can push Burke a little is not a bad idea.

    Warriors and Jazz Mega Trade

I like that the Jazz got 2014 and 2017 1st's for two main reasons: 1) As has been mentioned by people who know much, much more about upcoming players than I do, these are potentially the two best upcoming drafts. We get the picks no matter what GST's record is those years. 2) I don't know if...

    Official Jazz workouts thread

I still like Jerrett at 46, provided Olynyk doesn't fall and we pick him up at 21. I think we need another big who can stroke it from outside.

are other teams trying to scare the jazz into drafting schroder@14?

I'm leaning towards Will Bynum being one of the FA's we sign for next year. Thoughts?

    Following potential 2013 draftees

I don't know if it has been discussed here or not, but I like the idea of a "stretch 4" with the second round pick. I've seen the names Muscala, Murphy and Kelly discussed, but what about Grant Jarrett? Chad Ford listed him as a sleeper here: https://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/48097 I...

Which management decision was the worst?

It has been mentioned a few times before, but if the Jazz end next season below the required minimum salary cap, the difference is given to the players on the team as a kind of bonus. We don't have to take on bad contracts to get to the minimum salary cap.

    Pau Gasol?

If we let most of the FA's go, we are below the cap and don't have to match salaries (LA would get a TPE). I would be ok sending Marvin, as they could amnesty MWP and need a SF.

    Pau Gasol?

Yes, if the team decides they really want to try to make the playoffs next year. No, if they just want to run with the core four (or the price is too high). I would give up Marvin and the 2nd rounder Brooklyn owes us, not much more. As has been said, this is only an option if Dwight re-signs and...

    Upcoming Offseason

I think we can only hope that both are gone, but I can't shake the idea that one will be back for continuity sake. However, they won't overpay. As much as I would like to see Favors and Kanter start next year and maybe end up with a high lottery pick, I like the idea of adding Gasol (salary dump...

What will absolve the FO in your eyes?

I'm hoping the FO has an off-season (or two) reminiscent of '03-'04/'04-'05. Specifically, Al and Paul don't come back. Bring back Mo at a reasonable price (4/25ish, team option(s)), don't bring back Foye (he'll just end up playing way more minutes than he should), re-sign Carroll (4/12ish)...

Cherry □ Lime__¤ Thought provoking trade idea

No, not personal, just thinking there could be a decent discussion here. Gasol's value has gone way down. Lakers save money with this trade. Lakers need more perimeter defense. Lakers need a stretch 4. This deal accomplishes that. Toronto, as I said, has the least incentive to do this trade...

How are we going to score without Al?

With a lot of talk about the Kings being sold, I thought that this trade really clears their books for a future owner. Ellis would likely opt-out. Sac gets a young C, a 1st and lots of cap space. They still have Hayes and some other longer term contracts, but nothing terrible. I thought...

How are we going to score without Al?

https://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=d7lfv8u I'm thinking we could still score enough after this trade, especially given the ball movement that has been on display lately. Of course, this only works if Favors is ready to play. I'm thinking Milwaukee owes a first to CLE and SAC. I'm...

    2012-2013 Random Trade Ideas thread

My attempt: https://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bboje4q Some sort of first will have to go to Charlotte, probably from the Jazz, but you could argue HOU should. Sacramento gets out of bad/long contracts. Jazz will have to waive a player though.
