Just had a delightful synchronicity. A friend messaged me to say he was in Facebook jail again, because, in a gardening group, he said: “use Dr. Zymes Nuke Em”. Facebook jail was the result, because the algorithm nailed him for “nuke em”, but the product itself is real, that’s what it’s called, so fundamentally an injustice. But no biggie in the grand scheme.

Anyway, so we got to talking disinformation, and I am emphasizing how problematic a position we find ourselves in, and I carry on on how Facebook and social media allowed baser instincts and impulses and disinfo to find a place to both roam free and cast social influence. We sign off, and then, I randomly surf the tv and come across a lecture by a biologist, Carl Bergstrom, titled “Calling Bull**** and the Threat of a Show Vaccine”, which was excellent. Had not heard of this biologist before, googled him, and found this review of a book he co-authored:

Which is essentially, apparently, a guide to the development of critical thinking skills in our present circumstances, in this era of information overload and BS galore. One hell of a synchronicity, and I do love synchronicities. And which brought me full circle to the point you wanted to make regarding the need to rely on critical thinking.

Ha. I love this. Could not agree more….

Nothing that you will learn in the course of your studies will be of the slightest possible use to you [thereafter], save only this, that if you work hard and intelligently you should be able to detect when a man is talking rot, and that, in my view, is the main, if not sole, purpose of education.

— Idealist philosopher John Alexander Smith (1863 – 1939)

If this convinces a few individuals to make different decisions, perhaps his death as a cautionary tale means others will choose a different path.

But I fear that the beat will simply go on because the echo chamber of distrust is loud and emboldened.
Don't worry, the conspiracy nuts will find a way to twist this back around and fit the narrative. Maybe something slipped him a vaccine when he went into the hospital and that's what killed him.

There has never been a society anywhere on Earth or ever in history in which there wasn’t bad information believed by a sizable portion of the population. The most stable and long lived societies you can think of, such as the dynasties in China or Egypt, had plenty of untrue beliefs. It is not realistic to set ‘no bad information’ as a standard we should strive for and I deeply distrust the idea of establishing an authority that functions as a gatekeeper over what information the public is allowed to be exposed to.

The best we can do is to put more effort into strengthening critical thinking skills, stomping out the cancel culture that springs to life whenever something outside the Overton window is discussed, and facilitating communication by agreeing on the definitions of words. Our society is currently terrible at all three. Students are graduating from college with worse critical thinking skills than when they graduated high school. Cancel culture is crazy and we can’t agree on simple concepts like what a woman is or what constitutes violence.
The context of this discussion above assumes a kind of socialism, a kind of group think and group purpose. Where the standard of judgment goes to a "group" it's like tribalism, and is not "scientific" or "modern" any more.

Socratic teaching methods differ from socialist "education" or propaganda because it requires a person to do his/her own thinking.

Government should belong to the people, individually, with every individual ranked equal in importance and value, and government should just accept that as "the voice" or "the will" of the people..

Where government fails to honor personal or human rights, it loses it's fundamental authority and become tyrannical.

so people will post these reports of patients in death beds with claims they were not injected or telling you to get injected but these same people wont post people dropping dead on the spot when they get the injection. This rollout should have been halted after 25-50 deaths like the swine flu fiasco. The death toll is the usa 13k with 17k perm disabled. 21k dead in euro,

Arent you tired of a being yes-man male groupie cheerleader for big pharm and the establishment? You support people dropping dead at the spot of injection? There are more than enough documented videos and reports to have this injection program halted.

Another one was trying for that Darwin's award.

I scoured the internet and can’t find a single video of someone dying on the spot after an injection. Nothing, not a one.

A few stories from people dying days after, but nothing where they die in seconds. Please point to where these videos are.

Very true

if the pcr is inaccurate how do they who died of covid or not? The inventor of the pcr stated the test he invented should not used to detect a virus.
