Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Anyone know what Powell shot in HS? Low volume + 64% from the line is sketchy for a “3” and D prospect. Seems like he might be Cody but actually athletic.

That still isn’t very good though -_-

My issue with Powell is why he got almost no steals, blocks, rebounds, or easy buckets on cuts and transition.

How do you accumulate no stats whatsoever with these tools, just run at the rim.

This is where the Cody aspect comes in. The impossibility of not putting up any stats and also sketchy shooting.

KOC has Drake Powell going 12 and said he's dramatically rising on boards during workout process

12 for Powell is a bit out there.

Watching his offense, its just a bunch of (somewhat slow) catch and shoot jumpers with a small amount of athletic flashes. He just sits on the perimeter or the corner waiting for the kickout. That might have just been his designated role on the team because, at times, you can see he wants to cook and tries some self creation stuff with mixed results. There might be more there but the team certainly wasn't interested in exploring that part of his game. I could see alot of untapped potential there.

The defense, I need to look more into but he is a mega athlete according to the combine so there's that.

Like, come on, this is literally just Paul Millsap if he couldn't shoot, literally everything is 1:1, it's incredible.

Never seen a guy I don't like that much making me this nostalgic, lol.

These compilation videos do a great job of highlighting just how obscene his hand speed is. Man, I wish he could shoot.

Eerily similar mannerisms. Millsap was a Glass Master. He led the NCAA in virtually every rebound stat. But that was his best skill coming out of college. His is the only jazz jersey I own.

I saw Maul Pimpslap in person in college. Easy to say this now, but I went home and told everyone I saw the best big man I’ve ever seen in college. It was so clear he was the best player on the court.
