GLeague Chitt

Stars with two wins in a row vs Iowa a three point OT win. Bolmaro with 22 points, 11 boards and 6 assists and a block. Juzang was the hero in OT despite shooting 2-16 for the game. With the Stars down by 5 in OT he hits a three pointer and then three free throws to give them the lead. Potter had 14 rebounds and sealed the game with a big defensive play, a rebound then an assist. Mudiay looked decent for Iowa off the bench. Tyler Cook also had 22 points for the Stars.

I noticed our pal Kofi is leading the Japanese league in rebounding and is fifth in scoring. There are some familiar names in that league: Jack Cooley, Stanton Kidd, Brock Motum, Vic Law (Jazz summer league player last season), Shawn Long of Sixers fame and Nik Fazekas. Perhaps the Jazz can give him another audition.

The undermanned Stars lose by 6 to the Rockets GLeaguers after a furious 4th quarter rally falls short. The Stars missed 8 FTS that would have been an additional 16 points given GLeague rules. Potter and Juzang were with the Jazz tonight. Jeenathan Williams, Frank Jackson and Stacy Davis were bright spots for the Stars tonight who played with only 8 players. The Stars had it down to two points late in the 4th and then two horrible fouls and two unforced turnovers sealed the deal.

Mac McClung, thoughts on the kid?
He can shoot and is pesky on defense but it's like there are a bunch of guys like him in that league. He might be like the Minivan or Royce in that if he can find a team that is looking for his skillset he could maybe stick around the show.

Strong outing by the Stars with a 22 point road win against the Pels GLeaguers. Potter. Juzang and Frank Jackson scored in the high 20s each and Rawlie Alkins led the team in rebounds and assists and came close to a triple double. Potter was 5-7 from three. Fun fact is that the Finnisher and him both went to Arizona for college ball. Jeenathan Williams had a nice game too. I think he is quietly playing himself into a prospect.

2nd road win in two nights vs Pels GLeaguers. No Potter as he is with the varsity but the starting 5 and Juzang played well. Marques Bolden played after being injured for awhile but gathered 6 boards and was +9 in the box. Jeenathan Williams was 7-9 shooting. Gutty two point win.

Break up the Stars. Third road win in a row over Texas. Juzang leading scorer with 22 points and Frank Jackson and Tyler Cook had 20 and 21. A strong game by Jeenathan Williams as he led the Stars in +-. Marques Bolden had a strong game off the bench for the Stars with no Potter as he was in Minnesota. If the Jazz need a wing type, Tyler Dorsey looked awfully good for Texas. He was a second round pick of the Hawks in 2017 and later played on championship teams in Greece and Israel.

Stars get embarrassed by David Stockton and Fort Wayne at home. Bolmaro looked super, super horrible. He looked like the worst player on both teams. The story of the game was 19-8 turnovers in favor of Fort Wayne. Potter and Tyler Cook both had double doubles and Juzang was in double figures needing a lot of shots to do it. Honestly right now I don't think our two way guys are prospects. Hardy isn't giving them the time of day and everybody got exposed tonight. Maybe give the two ways to a couple of guys playing for the Maine Celtics. Hardy might trust them. Bolmaro looked so bad tonight that I don't think he could be included in a trade as filler.

Stars with 26 turnovers in a loss to the Lakes GLeaguers. Bolmaro, Juzang and Potter with double doubles. Potter was the leading rebounder and shotblocker. Frank Jackson was the leading scorer for the Stars. Jeenathan Williams looked like an undrafted rookie and Infection's favorite Shaq Harrison played some solid unspectacular minutes for the JV Lakers.

Was this Bolmaro’s best game of the year?

The Stars put a deuce in the punchbowl last night losing by 42 to the Clips GLeaguers giving up 67% fg shooting and 57% from three. They actually led late in the first quarter. Frank Jackson had 31 points and led the team in assists and rebounding. No Potter and Juzang was horrible chucking up a lot of shots and no making many. In addition to not playing D the Stars got out rebounded by 16. Last night made me wonder why the Stars cut ties with Paris Bass. He is playing for another GLeague team and last night had 25 points and 18 rebounds on an efficient shooting night. 6 Stars did make double figures in scoring.

Micah Potter is to have surgery on his elbow to remove bone chips. He is probably out for at least two months.

Another no good rotten game by the Stars vs the Clips GLeaguers. The Stars had an 11 point lead at half, a 3 point lead after 3 and lose by 12. The 4th quarter implosion was fueled by turnovers and bricks. Frank Jackson had 6 turn overs for the game and zero assists. Juzang was horrid during this stretch with bricks and TOs. The Stars are undermanned right now. Tyler Cook is their biggest guy at 6'8" and everyone else is 6'6" or shorter. Tyler Cook and Frank Jackson are their best players and both have played for the Pistons and both were deemed not to be prospects by the Pistons. The Stars play the GLeague Ignite tonight.

Stars off the schneid with a double digit win against the Scootless GLeague Ignite in Vegas. Juzang played like a stud tonight with 30 points on efficient shooting and good overall play. Stacy Davis and Christian Vital had solid games off the bench for the Stars. Stars with a huge 3rd quarter where they outscored the Ignite by 23.

I noticed that Josh Jackson is now Trey Burke's teammate on the Stockton Kings. He was the 4th selection in the 2017 draft. Sometimes those lottery picks don't work out.

Stars sign Kenny Wooten Jr who was recently waived from the Raptors GLeague team a 6'8"235 lbs forward who played for two seasons at Oregon. In the last two GLeague seasons he has averaged 4 ppg and 4.8 rebounds in about 15 minutes of pt. This is impressive.
