If Conley walks, we don't have any money or assets to replace Conley with another high end facilitating PG. We won't even get a Rubio quality PG to play with Rudy. And what sign have you seen that shows you that Rudy fits in a Don led offense? They simply don't work well together offensively. It's kind of sad actually. It might get better, but they aren't on the same page. At all.Pump the brakes, dude. Jazz without Rudy probably don't make the playoffs, and that's not going to help the Donovan situation a damn bit.
I'm not absolutely married to keeping Gobert, but they have to find the right trade and that isn't going to be easy since his value elsewhere is almost certainly not as high as it is here.
And as for the "we don't make the playoffs without Rudy" narrative. I just don't see that. Just because we do everything to revolve around Rudy doesn't mean that we couldn't win another way. And it's not like I'm proposing we cut Rudy. We would clearly trade him for value elsewhere on the roster.
