    Bring Back Sloan

Scott Skiles, if he ever wants out of Milwaukee, would fit the Jazz nicely. Always liked his fiestiness; he gets his players in line real quick, or they're ridin' the pine. Last night, trailing by 27 with 2:50 left in the 3rd quarter in Chicago, he left his starting unit on the bench for...

    Devin Harris tearing it up

Still hard to believe KoC was able to trade him. Marvin isn't superman, but at least he's semi-productive offensively, and gives us more size at SF than Hayward and can play decent defense, as well as rebound.

LOL; with AK healthy for the moment, half his new teammates are out. Bet when they start to return, AK will be used up by then...

Can The Al Jefferson Experiment please end?

Big Al had a very good all-round game vs Dallas. Now let's see how he does GOING FORWARD; what he did or didn't do last season is irrelavent this season.

    KoC is a genius!

Burks has had flashes, but my suspicion is he's inconsistant staying with the game plan. His "game" is driving to the hoop and being "da man". Foye is a far better outside shooter, which we all know is something we need. When teams zone up on us, we need guys who can and WILL pass the ball, as...

    KoC is a genius!

KoC's coup of landing Mo and Randy and trading Harris for Marvin, then letting Miles walk, sure is lookin' good after just one game. These seemingly small moves seem to have had a huge impact. The overall balance of this team tonight was very impressive; we just dominated the boards!

    Kosta Starting and Al/Paul/MoMo captains

Interesting; sounds like the Nugget bigs are gonna be splitting PT; kinda like ours... https://blogs.denverpost.com/nuggets/2012/10/17/latest-nuggets-timofey-mozgov-mozzy-mozbourne/7166/

Who is the better offensive facilitator, Harris or Mo?

I'd consider being a team leader as part of being an "offensive facilitator", so I'll go with Mo, as Harris seemed very inconsistant as a team leader. Mo seems to be a better jump shooter too. Both can drive into the paint. Harris is the better defender, though.

    Foul!

    Impressed With Ty

With his size, Burks could evolve into a very good PG. When I look at all the SGs we got, someone is either gonna have to get much of their PT at PG, or sit more than they want to. Be it Burks, Foye, or even Murphy. I expect Hayward to start at SG. That's a way bigger logjam than we have at PF...

Things have been changed so Kanter PF and Favors c?

Totally agree. Depends entirely on who we play. The diversity between both these guys as they continue to develop could be something special.

Will the Jazz have an all star this up coming season?

Hope not; if we win with good team play, who needs an all-star? That would make all those ESPN experts go crazy...

    Mo on Marvin

Given Harris's struggles with the Jazz offensively, Mo SHOULD be an upgrade at PG. And Marvin is definitely an upgrade over anyone we've had at SF for the last few years. I expect Hayward to play more SG and Randy Foye to play some PG when we're facing bigger scoring PGs, who will destroy Mo or...

    Mo on Marvin

Yep, he's got a similar mindset to CJ. Difference is he drives looking for fouls instead of jacking up 3's. Still wants to be 'da man'. An improvement over CJ's style for sure, but if he doesn't get better at looking for open teammates, he'll never make it as a PG either... A ton of...

    Mo on Marvin

We have been below average for some time at SF, so Marvin should be a big upgrade, even if he isn't near Lebron-like. We are so loaded at SG, I have to wonder (don't like it though!) if they'd trade Burks if the right deal came along. He just looks like he wants to a star, taking mucho shots, a...

    Mo on Marvin

    CBS Utah Jazz Offseason Report

Regarding the article, it did not consider Hayward as one of our SGs, referring to Burks and Murphy as our SGs while praising the addition of Foye. Other than that, very much spot on! Given our sudden abundance of SGs, Hayward seems likely to spend time at both positions, depending on where he's...

Kanter to workout with Kiki Vandeweghe

Have to wonder if the Jazz "suggested" to Enes to spend some time with Kiki working on his game. Good that Kiki is teaching him some of his bag of tricks. All those "little things" put together can become a big thing fast. Baffles me the Jazz would draft a C at #3 in the draft and 2...

    Favors training with Malone

Yeah, I think Favors WOULD play C for us, but my bet is he'd not re-sign here if he forsaw C as his future in Utah. He lacks the bulk of a 'natural' Center, so he tends to commit more fouls wrestling with the big boys, which ultimately decreases his PT. He's just not comfortable in that role...
