Millsap and Hayward to Cavs?

Man that would be the dumbest trade ever! And why would we give up Hayward who is the future? I could maybe see Miles, Millsap and the 3 for the 1 & 4. But not Hayward

more rumors

This is from the Jazz's FB page:

Steve Barrett i have an inside friend that works for the jazz that say jazz could be getting the 1st, 2nd, , 4th and 12th pick. Milsap CJ evans 3rd pick for Cleveland 1 and 4, then Okur Raja 2012 Pick for Minnys pick. He said the jazz are 95% chance that the deal will close sometime next month, Get excited!!!!

I think that rumor is really funny. He has us trading our whole bench. And CJ's option hasn't even been picked up yet so he can't be included.

As bogus as this is, can you imagine picking 4 times in the top 12? Geez.

Has anything like that ever happened before?

I believe it. It's coming up on the time for the Jazz to trade their previous season's first round pick.

It makes sense, with the looming lockout and new CBA, that teams would want no more than one first round pick in this mediocre draft. Under the new CBA it is likely we will see a restructuring of the salary cap, likely downward, and that would mean if you have 2 players in this years draft with guaranteed first round money that is going to be far less value than 2 players in the next draft under the new CBA and salary structure. In short, teams are going to overpay for lesser talent in this draft than they likely will in the next draft. That is really nothing to get excited about. I can easily see the Cavs, and the Jazz for that matter, trying to dump their second pick and get value back in return. That alone shows why the Jazz would not go for this trade scenario as they would then have potentially FOUR guaranteed salaries for mediocre picks going into a new CBA. That would be a very bad move for the Jazz unless they had other trades up their sleeves.

Does he by any chance work at Best Buy as well?

I see your point. Tanking next season and hoping to win the lottery will be a lot of fun.

The teams Jefferson has played for have a winning percentage of about %35, if you include his rookie year where he played little but won 45 and last year when he played alot and they won 39.

Trade Al or keep him, losing next year and the lottery are inevitable.

So, under this highly unlikely scenario, we would move Milsap, CJ, Evans, Okur, Raja, the 3 Pick and next year's pick for the 1st, 2nd and 4th picks? Sign me up.

Wouldn't that have to be the Warriors pick in 2012 (or whenever it ends up coming), since the Jazz has already traded their 2012, 2013 or 2014 (depending on when they end up picking) 1st round pick?

Let's keep our hopes up. Look at Zach Randolph. He has been a career loser despite being a monster in the paint his whole career. Things will turn around for us and Al.

That **** aint happening but who would you take? I'd go Irving #1, Williams #2 and if Kanter falls to 4 grab him but I bet he would get taken at 3. At that point, it wouldn't make sense to take Knight at 4 if you draft Irving so I have no idea who to take there

I'd much rather draft Knight or Walker at 3, Then trade Millsap for Petruis, Lopez the 13, then use the 12th and 13th pick on Singleton, Hamilton

Am I the only one that likes that trade?
Also Cleveland would never offer that in a million years. Hayward and Millsap are nice players but not enough to land you the 1 & 4 pick.

Or you would take Williams and Kanter first and second and either Irving or Knight at 4 (whoever is left).

Where is Hayward mentioned? If Hayward is included, forget it, as far as I'm concerned.
