The OKC game has convinced me that jazz need to throw money at jabari

Rubio has had a few of those games too. That isn't anything close to the norm with Rubio or Parker. Get over yourself and realize you wasted your time and mine

Rubio is pretty good. The problem with Jabari is the money. 25m per is a lot of money for a guy who doesn't defend, and who may or may not regain his form on offense.

Count me in the "do not sign Jabari" crowd. Ballstoppers are not needed in Quinn's offense, especially when attached to a bottom list defender. I believe the Jazz create plenty of good looks for people, and one absolute iso stud is all that's needed and we have that. The Jazz lost by 8 to a team who had a player who scored 18 pts every 10 shots. Rubio isn't a great shooter, but he's better than yesterday, and will be enough to beat the Thunder in four straight. Ingles has to be better as well.

The Jazz need to find a way to acquire some more young talent around Mitchell. Having Exum is a nice start. The options to find someone else are to draft someone or sign a RFA. I'd like to see DL swing for the fences in free agency at some point, and the time to do that is while Mitchell is on his rookie contract to minimize risk. I'd gladly give him some sort of deal like Embiid has, where he's a max player if he stays healthy. I don't think the talent is the question with him.

Hey man, no one is forcing you to reply to the OP's thread. You are free to do whatever you want with your time. No need to get personal and start calling calling names either.

I think Jabari was a productive player (sure, with some holes in his game) before his second ACL. It seems he hasn't fully recovered so I wouldn't put too much into his current play. He is a big risk but at least one team will take a gamble on him, especially if we consider his strained relationship with the Bucks. How much should he get? That's the scary part given his injuries. Also, we don't have the cap space so a trade for another player is more likely (like Mirotic) or maybe going for a less expensive player.

Parker is golfer Tony Finau's cousin so if the Jazz trade for him we can all get Masters tickets next year.

if he is cheap why not? but i m sure he will get lots of mone...

So can someone help me... We were going to sign Haywood to a max deal right? we didnt..instead we signed a few 2 mill small contracts with team options for next year... we have 1 max guy in gobert.. rubio is a middle of the road contract .. ingles as well... how is it we dont have any cap space?? wouldn't we have needed to have space for haywood?

As he was our own free agent, you’re allowed to go over the cap to maintain a guy you’ve had under contract for three seasons.

But weren't we prepared to offer otto porter a max contract? Do we suddenly have less money than we did then?
I don’t recall the numbers, but basically if we renounce everyone (Udoh, Thabo, Favors, Exum, Neto, Royce, and Jerebko), we could have enough to make an offer, but that’s gutting the team. Exum has a higher cap hold.

If we renounce everyone Faves, Exum, Sef, Neto, etc. and pay someone to take Burks, we can afford Parker at about 29 mil per year or so. Understand that you have your core and everyone else would be rookie contracts and cheap vet minimum contracts.

On the other hand, the Jazz are considerably less screwed than most teams salary wise, so maybe Parker plus Exum becomes a possibility, depending on what each will sign for.

I think signing Parker to anything under 20 million per year gets matched, and Milwaukee trades the contract later that year.
