What's new

We HAVE to make a trade.

I like him for us but we kind of need creators more than a guy like Otto. I think I am now of the opinion that I would do a Porter deal, but maybe not just straight salary dump. I might want to give them Exum or Jae so we might have a chance at cap space still.

I think another team will take him into space this summer or do a salary dump this year.

Sacramento should be all over this btw... but their GM is a moron... their assistant GM is trying to pull a power move and their owner is watching Stauskas highlights at his desk screaming "I knew it.... Stauskasssssssss"

What about Ariza for Favors and a couple 2nds?

Can’t he play some 4?

Yeah that is his full-time position really.

Not sure why they do it. The deal I'd throw out to them is Exum (and a salary filler if need be) for Ariza straight up. Hope Igor loves him some Dante.

They may want Favors to get rid of cap space.

Maybe Ariza and non-expiring garbage for Favors and Exum.

Phoenix would probably trade Ariza for a pick or a younger player. I don't think they want Favors just to play behind Ayton.

They'd likely be down for a Ricky for Ariza swap too. Bigger need get a look at a guy and see if you want to keep him around.

That's not a good deal for Utah. We don't want Ryan Anderson's contract. I think the Jazz are bent on shopping in free agency even if they miss out on the top tier.

Yeah I know but are we gonna get anyone better than Ariza? And Anderson at least can shoot which we need should Crowder or Ariza ever get injured.

The guy I keep coming back to is Gallo. When he is healthy he's perfect.

The big concern is health. My second concern is he isn't like a 5-year piece... more of a 2-3 piece because of age. He could still be valuable after that, but I think DL is trying for the long term home run.

He is shooting the lights out. Can create. Gets to the line. He's fine on defense (not great but neither is Tobias). I think eventually they would move him for just expirings... but maybe not if they continue to be top 2-3 team in the west. If they want max space and to keep Tobias then moving Gallo works for them. I don't see them realistically clearing two max spots (of the 30M variety) and I don't think there are two guys willing to come over.

I'd rather play Cavanaugh... anderson is cooked.

I think the Jazz would literally prefer signing someone like Kevon Looney in free agency than take on Ryan Anderson's contract.

I think we have to upgrade Rubio. Even if we got a dynamite stretch 4, I have major concerns about his ability to get the best out of everybody else. We need to let Mitchell and Ingles try to run the offense.

My fear is that we rely on Rubio then feel in the summer that we have to bring him back. There are a ton of guys who can do what Rubio is doing.
