We will trade with Charlotte and it will be an offer they cannot refuse. Those guys need so much more than a Brandon Miller can give them. I can see the 9, 16, another pick, maybe Ochai and we take back Hayward. They need to get younger and build sensibly. They get a young wing and some guards, shed some salary, and put a first away for the future (they only have their own firsts going forward.) They don't need or want a lot of vets coming back like Portland does.

Yeah, I agree the most likely scenario is he'll be great, at least defensively. But he also has to stay on the court.

Wallace has an average NBA career at best.

After watching the struggles of Suggs and Fultz I wouldn't draft Wallace with a top 10 pick. Both those guys rated out as much better overall prospects and have struggled with facets of the NBA game esp shooting.

I mean I don't think anyone can learn any lessons from Fultz. That is its own thing entirely.

I would say Suggs was the better shooter between him and Wallace as college players. Higher volume, harder shots, similar percentages.

Funny thing about Cason/Suggs comp, they both shot super hot from 3 in non conference play then absolutely tanked their percentages in conference play.

Who are we trading with to get scoot? What are we giving up?

Portland should honestly just do a small trade with Houston where Houston sends something like Tate and #4 for Portland sends #3 and whatever. Houston takes Scoot and Portland takes Whitmore.
