I think we’d see a lot more people satisfied with the pick had we have picked up a KBD. I mean, they even came out and said we were doing workouts for the 61st pick. Hope they had someone in mind...People still being big babies about the pick? It's over, he's here, support him and the team, and move on. Here's obviously not going anywhere for the next 7 years
The 'ceiling' thing gets overplayed a bit. Hayward turned into an all-star and I'm sure was thought to be a lower ceiling guy than prospect versions of Favors, Exum, Burks, Kanter, Brewer, Stevenson, etc. when drafted. Not to mention Joe Ingles is better than all those guys, and it's hard to imagine a player with a lower 'ceiling' than him. Ceiling gets kinda buzzwordy.

This is fair.
I’d counter it though by saying, given Hayward’s body and age upon draft night, it was obvious he had a ton of room to physically develop. I don’t see that in Allen much at all. Hayward was/is also a bit more skilled and longer too.
Allen just sort of seems like he is what he is. That said, you’re very right about Ingles and knowing how he’s improved, there are nuances and subtleties that Allen can work on as well as certain skills (shooting, dribbling) to make him a really good ****ing player. He also can improve his body, perhaps just not nearly as much as Benedict.
So if Allen’s Body is more filled out then Hayward’s was that’s an advantage for Hayward? I guess Mitchell didn’t get that memo, or am I not understanding what you are saying, if so, explain please.

Are you dense? Or just a ****ing idiot?!
How's that worked for LBJ and the Cavs? Players aint always the best GMs.
Based on a sample size of... 0?Mitchell is a better GM than LBJ
Not bad discussion here:
Do you not see 2's and 3's switch on defense like 50 percent of plays?Unless you think he will be defending the 3, the average 2 is 6_5. How many 6_8 2s are in the league?
Some decent points made there. I continue to like the pick more and more.
