    Jazz Offseason Plan

Trade idea: Jazz trade Conley (sign & trade) & Bogey to the 76ers for Harris & Thybulle.

    Jazz Offseason Plan

I think the odds are extremely high he plays for Dallas, NYC, Miami, or the Jazz next season.

    Jazz Offseason Plan

Is there any chance Otto Porter would sign a 1 year MLE deal with the Jazz in hopes to revitalize his career & get a big contract next offseason?

    Jazz Offseason Plan

I was just throwing out a name as an example. I just meant someone a lot more athletic. No team with Lauri Markkanen, Bogey, Ingles, & Niang getting minutes is getting out the 1st round of the playoffs. Other examples of names could be (with filler players if needed) Caris Levert, Terry Rozier...

    Jazz Offseason Plan

If the Jazz pulled off something like this I’d then try & trade Bogey for an athletic player. Someone like Cam Reddish.

    Jazz Offseason Plan

Really? I’m assuming Conley doesn’t want to be back so you’re essentially trading Bogey for Harris. The tax bill for mr. smith would be crazy though.

    Jazz Offseason Plan

Random idea here but I’m curious about people’s takes on it. I think it’d be a big win for both teams. Jazz sign & trade Conley (approx. 2 years $40mm) & Bogey to the 76ers for Tobias Harris. (Assuming Conley agreed of course)

If the Jazz were able to, which of these give players would you prefer the Jazz trade Conley for?

The Jazz should've figured out a way to trade Harris for Conley last offseason. Philly was looking to shed contracts & potentially move him.

    Jazz Offseason Plan

I don't really know how the Jazz could get it done, but I think moving Favors is an absolute must. There are so many viable big man that can be had for dirt cheap. Especially since they drafted Azubuike. It's time to test his value. If you draft a Center in the 1st round at minimum he should be...

    Mike Conley Contingency Plan

So basically, the Jazz can't do a sign & trade with Conley. Because virtually any way I look at it, with the signing of Conley (and matching salaries in return) they'll be over the Apron. I realize this is rough projection and some of these players aren't guaranteed, but I just listed them out...

    Mike Conley Contingency Plan

I have a question, and maybe this has already been discussed, but are teams able to complete sign & trades with each other for players they both have the bird's rights to? For example (not saying I want to do this) but the Lakers sign Dennis Schroeder & the Jazz sign Conley, can they then both...

    Jazz Offseason Plan

Will someone verify I have this correct? All the Jazz have available this offseason for free agent contracts will be the partial MLE of $6mm up to 3 years (for being in the luxury tax) and then veteran minimum deals, correct? I just want to verify they do get the MLE each year. Side note...

My hot take on what I'd do in the off-season.

I have to think Tobias Harris or Al Horford would be available in a deal. Philly is in a world of hurt with those contracts. I think Otto Porter is realistic too. He's been a bad fit in Chicago. Porter's deal expires but the Jazz would then get his bird's rights to be able to re-sign him even...

My hot take on what I'd do in the off-season.

Here's a post for some reality. If the Jazz don't move Conley, this is what your roster looks like in 2021. There's 0 flexibility because the Jazz will be way over the salary cap and stuck with poor roster. The salary cap is expected to be $115mm. The Jazz will be paying luxury tax with this...

Jazz and Mitchell to finalize max contract extension when free agency opens

This is really not even newsworthy. Mitchell was ALWAYS going to sign this max extension. He would be insane to lose out on $30mm this season and take on the injury risk. The risk of losing Mitchell was never him not signing this extension. The risk is if he demands a trade in 1 year or not.

If the Jazz were able to, which of these give players would you prefer the Jazz trade Conley for?

With the understanding that Conley’s max contract will expire this year and the Jazz will then likely have no cap space to sign another player, who would you then prefer the Jazz trade Conley’s expiring deal + 1st round draft pick for if you could pick one of these four guys? *Note that the...

My hot take on what I'd do in the off-season.

I think the Pacers are a compelling trade partner for both sides. I think a trade could look something like this: Jazz receive: -Myles Turner -Aaron Holiday (He's a big pick up because he can play PG and can shoot. He's young and on a cheap rookie contract. He adds cheap talent to Jazz with...

    2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

A 6'6" big man that shoots 39% from the field that the Rockets cut? Something tells me he isn't the final answer for the Jazz.

Jazz are emerging as serious threats to sign Bojan Bogdanovic

The Jazz signing Bojan will officially make them the least athletic team in the NBA. Bojan, Ingles, Niang, Bradley, & Neto (can’t even dunk) all on the same NBA team?! Sheesh.
