Bucks outgoing: Jabari Parker, Maker, Teletovic, (maybe a future first?)
Bucks incoming: Deandre Jordan
Clippers outgoing: Deandre Jordan
Clippers incoming: Derrick Favors, Rodney Hood, Thon Maker (Bucks future first)
Jazz outgoing: Derrick Favors, Rodney Hood
Jazz incoming: Jabari Parker, Teletovic
I haven't decided if I think this makes sense, but it could be an interesting angle to explore. The Bucks seem to really want Deandre Jordan, but it's kind of hard to envision how they can make that trade work financially, largely because I would imagine the Clippers aren't too high on the idea of taking back bad salary, unless they're getting something like the Brooklyn pick as well.
Why for the Bucks - Going along with the narrative that they really want DJ here. Having him makes Jabari's next contract even more of a predicament, and they end up having to pay a bit of a premium to get off Teletovic's contract. They lose a future pick and a promising young player (Jabari), but they get out of a bad contract and bring in the player they are (supposedly) coveting at their position of need. I don't think they would really think twice about the Maker inclusion, and honestly he's mostly there to make salaries work.
Why for the Clippers - They get a talented young wing with upside and RFA rights in Hood. Favors probably makes a (perhaps significantly) better replacement for what they're losing in DJ than anything else they're going to find. Doubt they really care a lot about Maker, but what the hell. They get a future Bucks pick, which could end up being pretty nice if **** hits the fan in Milwuakee.
Why for the Jazz - They seem to like Jabari a lot, and this brings him in without giving up too much. Favors is already considered gone, and while I think they still really like Hood, my guess is they happily turn him into Parker, given the chance. Taking back Teletovic sucks, but if it gets you a chance at a third franchise player without giving up the farm, wth.
I guess if needed the Jazz could send picks somewhere (probably 2nd rounders? maybe one to each?).
