Jazz sign Erdem Can as assistant coach

For a Turkish / Fenerbahce basketball fan, there is always a connection with Jazz organisation -Okur : never played for Fener but known as a fan. - Kanter: we started hating him even before you heard his name - Bojan: Fener was his last club in Europe before coming to NBA - udoh: after MVP...

    Euroleague Stuff

Actually, number one is another Turkish team (fenerbahce) with Jazz ties. It is the team Ekpe Udoh played in Europe. Unfortunately, also the team Enes Kanter infamously left. Mehmet Okur is also a big Fenerbahce fan.

Ekpe please; we need him in Turkey

    Ricky Rubio / Eurobasket

For top european players, the schedule is actually not very good anymore. They play 30 Euroleague games (excluding playoffs), around 30 - 32 national league games (excluding play offs) and 4- 6 National Cup games. For instance European Champion Fenerbahçe played 82 official games last year...

    Jazz Sign Ekpe Udoh

Very sad day for Fenerbahce basketball. As a Fenerbahce season ticket owner, I am very sad but happy to see that he is coming to Utah First of all, wonderful character. On / off the court everyone loved and respected him. Basketball wise, we saw that he has improved a lot in the last two...

Deserves own thread - Omer Yurtseven

He was the fourth big behind Ekpe Udoh, Jan vesely, and Pero Antic. He played decent minutes in Euroleague and Turkish league for a contender. To me even training with these Veterans is a very good preperation to NBA but obviously he has different views. as far as I understand, Fenerbahçe...

Deserves own thread - Omer Yurtseven

He is the next Kanter in terms of attitude. He could have played in Euroleague final yesterday, but now setting individual records in a U18 game. Listen to what his coach Obradovic (8 times european champion) says about him. Relevant part starts around 5 minute mark...

Enes Kanter: offseason focused on defense, improved leg strength and lateral movement

We are just a little emotional people. But to be fair; most of the Turkish fans also dislike him because of national team problems he had. Moreover, he also made Fenerbahce fans (probably the largest fan base in Turkey) upset when he moved to U.S to join Kentucky.

    Following potential 2015 draftees

He generally plays SF; not sure if he could play guard positions. He is one of those guys who does lots of small things that does not necessarily appear in the statistics. Hard nosed; good attitude, high bball IQ player

    Following potential 2015 draftees

Good point. But as far as I can see this guy has a Memo-like character and good defense.

    Following potential 2015 draftees

Sorry that I am too lazy to go through 628 pages but wonder whether there is any view about Cedi Osman as a second round pick. Would be very convenient for Turkish fans.

    IF KANTER PLAYED AT KENTUCKY...

In my view the real question is, "if Kanter had played in Turkey/euroleague". Remember, he lost one more year before joining Kentucy and if he had played against Euroleague competition during this time span, I believe he would have been a much better player now. Of course, that also means maybe...

These Jazz Practices Are Making Me Excited.

This is the wonderful time of the season : Coaches say the right things and seem like they will address all the problems, players worked hard all summer and are in an excellent shape, based on few practices rookies seem like next Jordan ( maybe not exum)

Jazz cancelled my family's season tickets after 36 years.

It is interesting to see how some threads evolve into something else. From cancelled tickets to water sourcing issues... Sirkicky: my condolosences and hope that the problem will be solved. Although this is business, any franchise should show some loyalty to a family that has been loyal to the...

Jazz players at the World Cup

Probably Turkey will lose in the second half due to overall lack of talent/depth; but I am sure other teams coaches are taking notes on how to beat USA.

I am happy that Kanter creates some drama every off season. Thanks to him we something to talk about in August.
